Role: Team Secretary - Litigation Salary: £26,000 - £27,500 Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Contract: Part time, permanent We are currently seeking a part-time Team Secretary to support a busy litigation team , providing high-quality administrative and secretarial assistance to legal professionals and trainees. This is a job-share role , covering Tuesday to Thursday , and will report directly to the Secretarial Services Manager. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and able to manage their workload independently while working collaboratively with colleagues across the team. Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day tasks will include, but are not limited to: Drafting and formatting general legal correspondence Preparing bundles for court and counsel Creating secure document links for external sharing Producing legal documents and completing court forms Comparing legal documents for accuracy and consistency Liaising with clients, court staff, and other third parties Opening new client matters and maintaining accurate records Scheduling meetings and arranging conference calls Organising and electronically filing documents Meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Submitting expense claims on behalf of fee earners Managing workflow to internal support teams (e.g. document production, print services) Proofreading and conducting quality checks on all outgoing work Developing strong, effective working relationships across teams Supporting other practice areas when required About You To succeed in this role, you will bring: Prior experience in a litigation support role within a legal environment Excellent IT skills and confidence working with legal technology High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and multitasking abilities A proactive approach and the ability to work independently Willingness to adopt AI-powered tools and digital solutions to improve efficiency and workflows We are committed to investing in your professional growth and will support your development from day one.
