Job Title: Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) Delivery Lead Location: Hybrid 2 days onsite/week (Cambridge/ Peterborough)Type: ContractOverview We are seeking an experienced Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) Delivery Lead to drive the development and execution of a large-scale Zero Trust transformation programme within a complex, global enterprise environment. This role will be responsible for defining the Zero Trust strategy, owning the target-state architecture, developing a scalable implementation blueprint, and leading delivery across multiple business units operating within a federated technology landscape. The successful candidate will combine strong cyber security expertise with enterprise architecture knowledge, programme leadership experience, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.Key Responsibilities Zero Trust Strategy & Roadmap\n\n • Define and lead the enterprise-wide Zero Trust strategy aligned to business and cyber security objectives.\n, • Develop a multi-year roadmap covering identity, device, network, application, and data security domains.\n, • Establish adoption priorities, milestones, dependencies, and success measures.\n, • Present recommendations and secure executive-level approval and sponsorship.\nArchitecture & Blueprint Development\n\n, • Own and maintain the target-state Zero Trust architecture.\n, • Develop scalable reference architectures, implementation standards, governance models, and security controls.\n, • Ensure alignment between Zero Trust principles and wider cyber security and technology strategies.\n, • Continuously enhance architectural standards based on emerging requirements, lessons learned, and technology developments.\nProgramme Delivery\n\n, • Lead end-to-end delivery of the Zero Trust workstream from strategy through implementation and operational handover.\n, • Define programme scope, outcomes, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.\n, • Establish governance structures and deliver regular executive reporting.\n, • Manage third-party vendors and delivery partners, ensuring performance against agreed outcomes.\nStakeholder Engagement & Adoption\n\n, • Work closely with security, architecture, infrastructure, and technology teams to drive successful implementation.\n, • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business units.\n, • Influence decision-making at executive level and drive alignment across competing priorities.\n, • Support change management, communications, and business adoption activities.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n\n, • Partner with Identity, Security Engineering, Architecture, and Technology teams to ensure successful delivery.\n, • Manage dependencies across identity transformation, endpoint security, cloud security, network modernisation, and workplace transformation initiatives.\n, • Ensure a coordinated approach across all related programmes and workstreams.\nEssential Experience\n\n, • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Zero Trust transformation programmes.\n, • Demonstrated success defining and delivering Zero Trust strategies, architectures, and implementation roadmaps.\n, • Experience leading complex cyber security or technology programmes across global organisations.\n, • Strong track record of managing budgets, vendors, governance frameworks, and delivery teams.\n, • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and steering committees.\n, • Previous experience operating within federated or decentralised organisational environments.\nEssential Technical Expertise Strong understanding of:\n\n, • Zero Trust Architecture\n, • Identity and Access Management\n, • Conditional Access\n, • Privileged Access Management\n, • Endpoint Security\n, • Device Compliance\n, • ZTNA and Secure Access technologies\n, • Cloud Security Architecture\n, • Enterprise Security Governance\nStrong knowledge of technologies such as:\n\n, • Microsoft Entra ID\n, • Conditional Access\n, • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)\n, • Microsoft Defender Suite\n, • Microsoft Intune\n, • Zscaler or equivalent ZTNA platforms\nQualifications Essential\n\n, • Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n, • One or more of the following certifications:\n \n, • CISSP\n, • CISM\n, • TOGAF\n, • SABSA\n, • Microsoft SC-100\n \nDesirable\n\n, • PRINCE2 Practitioner\n, • MSP (Managing Successful Programmes)\n, • SABSA Chartered Security Architect\n, • Membership of ISACA, (ISC)², CIISec, or BCS\nKey Attributes\n\n, • Strategic thinker with strong delivery focus.\n, • Excellent executive stakeholder management and communication skills.\n, • Ability to translate complex security concepts into practical business outcomes.\n, • Strong programme governance and organisational skills.\n, • Comfortable operating in complex, global environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.\n, • Ability to balance architectural integrity with pragmatic delivery requirements.\nMust-Have Profile\n\n, • Led a Zero Trust programme from strategy through implementation.\n, • Strong Microsoft Security ecosystem experience (Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, Defender).\n, • Experience with Zscaler or equivalent ZTNA technologies.\n, • Enterprise architecture and roadmap ownership experience.\n, • Large-scale cyber transformation delivery background.\n, • Executive-level stakeholder engagement experience.\n, • Experience driving adoption across multiple business units or divisions.\n
