As a Bank Wing Pharmacy Technician, your days will be rewarding and varied, you will work on a wing where you will be responsible for the administration of medication to patients and the associated medication management activities, including audits and stock checks under the direction of the Clinical Lead and the Pharmacist Manager. You will be expected to work autonomously within guidelines, standard operating procedures and Medicine Policy. Within this role, you will: • Be responsible for the administration of medication to patients and the associated medication management activities, including audits and stock checks under the direction of the Clinical Lead and the Pharmacist Manager., • Work autonomously within guidelines, standard operating procedures and Medicine Policy and:, • Work as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to assist in ensuring the delivery of a legal, safe, high quality specialist prison pharmaceutical service which reflects National and local policy and priorities, taking into account the high level of security that must be maintained at all times, • Undertake provision of a medicines administration service to the patients, • Provide, in conjunction with the appropriate Clinical practitioners, a wing technician medicine management service on allocated wings, • Support implementation of medicine management strategy and associated services and projects across the prison, • Assist in the delivery of cost-effective prescribing, the medicines optimisation strategy and management of medication budget You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel. As a Bank Wing Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be working as part of the HCRG Care Group Team in Norwich where we deliver services at HMP Norwich.
