Major Responsibilities: The NCLEX Coach/Success Navigator at Florida National University is committed to providing quality instruction and comprehensive career advisement to all nursing students. This position serves as a dedicated mentor and academic support specialist for students preparing for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The role strategically combines educational expertise, motivational coaching, and career guidance to maximize student success rates, ensure graduates are thoroughly prepared for professional nursing practice, and support their transition into the healthcare workforce. Key Responsibilities: 1. Communication Management: Respond promptly to daily communications via email and voicemail, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally., 2. Policy Adherence and Ethical Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the University's mission, policies, procedures, ethical standards, compliance with data protection regulations and pertinent legal regulations in all aspects of admission activities., 3. University Engagement: Participate in Commencement Exercises, new student orientation, university events, committees, self-studies, and University Commencement Ceremonies., 4. Special Projects: Execute special projects assigned by the President or supervisor., 5. Compliance Adherence: Ensure compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, as well as FNU Policies, Procedures, Rules and Regulation, the FNU Code of Ethics, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Florida Information Protection Act of 2014 (FIPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and all other applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations., 6. Assigned Duties: Undertake other assigned duties as required. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Implements effectively NCLEX nursing resources (Passpoint, Kaplan, ATI, Hurst, U world, HESI, etc.) material where utilized., 2. Provides quality instruction for the students., 3. Provides feedback and develops an individualized remediation plan for any student who is not performing successfully in Exit exam OR REMEDIAL exams., 4. Tracks testers who are ready and not ready for NCLEX., 5. Conducts NCLEX prep workshops if needed., 6. Conducts 1:1 individualized coaching to students who are preparing for NCLEX., 7. Tracks NCLEX pass rate., 8. Assist students for registering to BON and Pearsonvue., 9. Collaborate with faculty regarding high risk students., 10. Conducts classes for the schedule amount of hours each class meeting., 11. Models appropriate attendance for his/her students., 12. Demonstrates evidence of professional growth through participation in continuing education, research or related activities., 13. Attends all faculty meetings, professional development functions and University committees to which they have been assigned., 14. Performs the administrative duties designated by the program director., 15. Works with the librarians in the establishment and weeding of the library program and course collection development. Success in this role will be measured by: • NCLEX pass rates of coached students, • Student satisfaction scores and feedback, • Timely completion of individual student assessments and plans, • Participation in professional development activities Required Qualifications and Experience: • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required; doctoral degree preferred, • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience across multiple specialties, • Minimum of two years’ experience as NCLEX success coach., • Previous experience in nursing education, academic support, or student coaching preferred, • Experienced nursing faculty in preparing nursing students for NCLEX-RN licensure. Must have a documented record of success., • Must have the minimum higher education background required by the program. Must provide a documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments including, but not limited to: education theory and practice, current concepts relative to specific subjects one will be teaching, current clinical practice experience or distance education techniques and delivery., • Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as state Board of Nursing Skills & Competencies • Deep understanding of NCLEX-RN test format, content areas, and scoring methodology, • Proficiency with NCLEX preparation software and assessment tools (ATI, Kaplan, UWorld, etc.), • Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly, • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse student populations, • Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse learning styles and backgrounds, • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment, • Certification in nursing education (CNE) or academic coaching, • Experience with adult learning principles and educational psychology, • Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse student populations, • Previous experience with nursing program accreditation processes Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person Schedule: Monday to Friday / Variable: Day shift & Evening shift Benefits: • Health Insurance, • Dental Insurance, • Vision Insurance, • Life Insurance, • Supplemental Benefits, • Paid Holidays, • Vacation, • Sick Time, • Bereavement Leave, • Jury Duty, • Military Leave, • Personal Leave, • Benefits Continuation (COBRA), • 401(k) Savings Plan, • Educational Assistance, • Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Working Conditions: General office working conditions.
