Role Summary We are seeking a highly capable IT Infrastructure Lead to lead infrastructure strategies, oversee daily IT operations, manage technical staff, and drive technology initiatives across the organization. This role blends strategic planning, technical architecture, vendor negotiation, budget ownership, security oversight, systems administration, and hands-on infrastructure management. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable negotiating ISP contracts, programming a firewall, participating in ERP upgrades, managing technicians, and presenting technology strategy to leadership. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a secure, reliable, and scalable technology environment for a 200-employee technology-forward organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy & Planning • Develop and execute IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives, • Lead selection, implementation, and maintenance of:, • Network equipment and architecture, • ISP services and contract negotiations, • Server hardware and virtualization platforms, • User endpoint hardware, • Hosting and cloud environments, • Operating systems and enterprise platforms, • Endpoint management and security software, • Backup and imaging tools and strategies, • ERP systems and ERP updates, • Specialty software platforms, • Provide strategic input on enterprise projects and digital transformation initiatives, • Develop long-range infrastructure and cybersecurity roadmaps, • Establish and maintain IT documentation, standards, and architectural diagrams 2. Security & Governance • Oversee enterprise security strategy and controls, • Perform or lead:, • Firewall programming and management, • Network switch programming, • Endpoint security implementation, • Certificate lifecycle management, • Licensing compliance validation, • Security auditing and incident remediation, • Manage and facilitate “Security Club” initiatives and awareness meetings, • Select and implement end user security training platforms, • Evaluate and implement tools to prevent data loss and enforce policy compliance, • Develop and document IT policies and procedures, • Implement automation/programming tools to enforce technical standards 3. Infrastructure & Systems Management • Manage Windows Domain Environment, • Select, implement, and manage Linux based SAN devices, • Maintain VMware environment, virtual machines and backups, • Server lifecycle management:, • Patching, • Upgrades, • Consolidation, • Retirement, • Operating system selection, installation, and patch management, • ERP system:, • Patching, • Migrations, • Some programming modifications, • Network and ISP circuit oversight, • Cloud environment monitoring and maintenance, • Hosted software administration, • Backup, imaging, and data archiving strategy execution, • Manage cameras, NVRs, and related infrastructure, • Oversee printers, plotters, and enterprise devices 4. Financial & Vendor Management • Develop and manage IT budget, • Monitor expenses and burn rate, • Negotiate and manage:, • ISP contracts, • Vendor contracts including ad-hoc support, cellular and hosted phone, • Specialty software agreements, including A/V, virtualization, cloud based applications, • Hardware procurement, • Manage vendor relationships for:, • Tickets and incidents, • Installations and upgrades, • Hosted services, • Oversee all software purchasing 5. Team Collaboration & Technical Supervision • Coordinate workload and assist with prioritization of tasks, • Participate in change management processes, • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, • Support end-user training and testing initiatives, • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, • Supervise IT technician 6. Support & Operations • Provide hands-on support as needed, • Respond to and manage end-user ticket escalations, • Administer cellular service plans, • Perform network equipment code modifications, • Support migrations and system transitions, • Update and maintain reporting tools, • Other duties as assigned.
