Job DescriptionSalary: $16 - $18 per hour Position Summary: Sisu Youth Services offers shelter, support, and housing for youth experiencing homelessness. The Development Coordinator will focus on fundraising, donor and volunteer stewardship, development team operations, and furthering the mission of Sisu. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, a relationship builder, and an advocate for our programs and the individuals we serve. The Development Coordinator role is part of a team consisting of a volunteer coordinator and a development director. The Development Coordinator is a non-exempt, full-time employee reporting to the Development Director. Essential Functions: • Cultivate and steward an assigned supporter portfolio, including mid-level donors, monthly donors, and volunteers., • Manage the supporter database of lapsed, current, and prospective donors and volunteers, including preparing and uploading data, data hygiene tasks, recording gifts, and tracking supporter actions and interactions., • Solicit and coordinate acceptance of in-kind donations that support Sisus mission, ensuring in-kind donations are tracked, acknowledged, and utilized effectively., • Organize and implement effective systems of thanking and communicating with supporters., • Develop relationships with donors and volunteers to foster partnerships and collaborationfurthering the mission of Sisu., • Provide unique, timely, and relevant communication and engagement opportunities with supporters and prospects., • Note-taking and task management support for resource development and volunteer committees. Additional Responsibilities: • Prepare leadership and facilities for donor meetings, volunteer events, and community engagement activities., • Assist in the preparation of marketing materials., • Help lead facility tours and publicly speak about Sisu., • Support Directors in the solicitation of major gifts. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate effectively about their work and deadlinesmust be detail-oriented., • Excellent oral and written communication skills., • Ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse groups of people and express gratitude at every opportunity., • Must take initiative and be self-starting, able to work as part of a collaborative team as well as independently on specific projects., • Working knowledge of standard office software, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Gmail, Slack, Canva, and relational databases or constituent relationship managers (CRMs)., • Public speaking and presentation skills, including in large & small groups., • Commitment to answer phones, texts, and emails daily and respond promptly. Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time., • Ability to use telephone, computer, copy machine, printer, and other office equipment., • Licensed with a clean driving history and reliable transportation. Local travel will be required. Education/Experience: • We are looking for an individual who possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities described above. While formal experience in fundraising, public relations, or nonprofit administration is a plus, it is not a requirement. Sisu values professional development and learningwe will provide training on fundraising techniques and development operations to set you up for success in this role. Job Location: Hybrid in the Oklahoma City metro; roughly 60% remote, 40% in-person at program locations and in the community. Position Type: Full-time, hourly (40 hours/week) Scheduled Hours: Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling (8 hours a day); some evening and weekends required. All employees who are paid in full or in part with federal funds must keep specific documents to demonstrate the amount of time they spent on grant activities. (2 C.F.R.
