The Role in Brief: Director, Research Advisory Services EAB is the leading global provider of research and advice to higher education and K-12 institutions. Our research programs help executives at client organizations educate stakeholders, make research-informed decisions, and speed implementation of industry best practices. EAB Research Advisory Services (RAS) is a division within our research business, providing consultative support and expert advice to our education clients. RAS staff work directly with boards, presidents, and other senior academic and business leaders to help them make meaningful and strategic progress toward their most pressing financial and mission-consequential issues. Primary Responsibilities: Terrain Mastery: Build and maintain issue expertise across research terrains, with a special focus on those most important to members across the university executive cabinet at educational institutions and the teams they lead across the university each day, including the delivery of dynamic strategies to guide transformation, responsiveness to the rapidly evolving policy environment, use of emerging artificial intelligence, enrollment and admissions technology and implementation, tech-enabled teaching and learning, instructional design and assessment, student success architecture, and financial sustainability. Compensation: The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $76,500 - $115,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. This team develops and applies travel demand forecasting models and mobile emissions models to support regional transportation and air quality planning in the metropolitan Washington region. These models are commonly adopted by state and local planning agencies for sub-area studies, corridor studies, and project planning. The National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB) serves as the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the metropolitan Washington region. The TPB is staffed by COG DTP staff. The Program Director oversees two major work activities under the MPO’s Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP): Travel Forecasting and Mobile Emissions Planning. Travel Forecasting includes developing and applying travel models and creating forecast-year transportation networks. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Support the Bureau's responsibilities to the Bureau of Public Affairs and the NEA Assistant Secretary, including press guidance, speechwriting and congressional liaison support., • Support NEA/PPD press and outreach functions focused primarily on multiple countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region., • Work closely with NEA desk offices, other NEA senior officials and with the Bureau of Public Affairs to provide press guidance and public affairs support on the full range of NEA issues., • Support the NEA spokesperson and deputy spokesperson on relevant issues and engage with domestic and international media to advance NEA priorities, respond to press inquiries, conduct rapid response in times of crises, and counter disinformation narratives., • Coordinate Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region press operations, which may include, but not limited to:, • Preparing senior officials for media engagements and executing such engagements, • Supporting the Office of the Spokesperson for daily press briefings and other Office of the Spokesperson activities., • Drafting and clearing press guidance and media products for release, and developing and enhancing NEA social media and digital content., • Liaise with White House National Security Council press office as well as interagency press officers to coordinate media engagement., • Provide administrative and logistical support to office operations related to domestic and international public speaking engagements by NEA and other Department principals., • Liase with the Bureau of Public Affairs, Diplomatic Security, and the Office of Protocol as needed to provide technical and logistical support for media engagements., • Manage internal digital archives and records of NEA media products and public outreach efforts., • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, • Excellent knowledge of foreign policy in the Near Eastern Affairs region., • Ability to solve problems and encourage consistent, solid performance, • Excellent English language (written and verbal) communications skills, • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities in multiple locations, • Ability to work well in a multi-cultural team environment, • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills, • Ability to work independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision., • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the media are highly preferred., • Top Secret Clearance Salary at Seneca is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
