About the role We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our growing engineering team at Autotronics. This is a hands-on role working directly on automotive electronic units at circuit board level. If you enjoy fault-finding, repairing electronics and understanding how things work rather than simply replacing parts, this role will suit you well. Autotronics repairs and remanufactures a wide range of vehicle electronic control units for cars, vans and commercial vehicles. Your day-to-day work will include: • Evaluating and diagnosing faults in automotive electronic control units such as ECUs, ABS modules, instrument clusters, TCUs and EPS units, • Identifying failed components and carrying out precise soldering and circuit-level repairs, • Analysing faults and deciding the most effective repair solution, • Disassembling, cleaning, reassembling and inspecting units after repair, • Testing repaired units using dedicated test equipment, • Recording repair information and supporting quality checks We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and enjoys technical work. You should be comfortable working with electronics at board level and take pride in producing neat and consistent repairs.
