Senior Quantity Surveyor Cardiff An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Team at Galliford Try. Ideally you will based in or around the Cardiff area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region. What you will be doing: Commercial & Contractual • Analysis of tender allowances, • The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings) for valuations variations and final accounts., • Agreement of valuation dates and preparing submitting interim valuations in accordance with those dates., • Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions, • Subcontract and Design Procurement, • Subcontract payments variations and final accounts, • Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations, • Cash management and maximisation, • Cash Flow and Turnover forecast, • Provision of standard reports, • Professional Qualification (e.g HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent, • Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, • Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting, • Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own, • Excellent time management skills with ability to work to tight deadlines, • Ability to encourage and support other members of the commercial team, • You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor specifically on Design and Build; as well as sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract, • Consideration to candidates of an infrastructure / housebuilding background will be considered, • Having sound Public sector experience is preferrable, • Experience oftwo stage open book collaborative approach is desirable, • You will be degree qualified and member of the RICS or IOB (or moving towards professional membership).
