The Role Based at our Coventry engineering headquarters, you will act as the technical and commercial lead for complex, bespoke engineering proposals, supporting global projects that underpin QH's FLUID INTELLIGENCE™ and engineered systems portfolio. This is a pivotal role where you will translate customer requirements into engineered solutions, defining project scope, technical approach, and commercial structure for capital equipment and services delivered worldwide. You will work closely with global sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure all proposals are technically robust, commercially competitive, and position Quaker Houghton as a long‑term engineering partner for turnkey projects. In addition, the role includes oversight of the Spares and Services function, supporting aftermarket growth and long‑term customer value. What will you do: • Management and ownership of primary delivery functions and key processes within Equipment Sales, Spares and Services., • Work with the Global QH sales and QHE Engineering teams to produce comprehensive estimates and technical proposal documents in line with customer requirements and applicable regulations for bespoke capital equipment and service sales. As well as support any other business activity as required., • As part of the QHE management team, you will also include active input to the overall company strategy, direction and operational goals, in-line with Quaker Houghton’s global strategy., • Manage the intercompany catalogue and pricing tool., • Manage costing records, order entry and sales administration systems, etc., • Ensure pricing and contractual terms follow profitability and cash flow goals, liaising with suppliers, sales team or direct customer contact as required., • Manage the spares and services team to deliver and efficient aftermarket support operation., • As part of the QHE management team, you will also include active input to the overall company strategy, direction and operational goals, in-line with Quaker Houghton’s global strategy., • Assist in the development of standardised methods, tools, and documentation manuals, to improve cost estimation and proposal production. What We Are Looking For • Proven experience in a technical sales, proposals, or applications engineering role, where leading complex proposals and cost estimation for bespoke or engineered capital equipment is key. Experience in engineering, special purpose machinery, process plant, or automation environments is highly desirable., • Strong ability to define technical scope, build accurate cost models, and support commercial decision‑making for custom engineering projects. Chemical or process engineering knowledge is a plus., • Excellent communication skills, with experience working across global, matrix‑structured organisations and engaging multiple internal and external stakeholders., • Confident in interpreting customer specifications and reviewing engineering drawings, layouts, and P&IDs. Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D (or similar) for layout review and proposal support is required.
