Who will you be working with? Director of Controls and Components Quality directs the quality function of the Fort Worth Mining site, Saltillo Fabrication site and all other Controls and Components manufacturing facilities. How will you make a difference? You will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and company objectives. In this role, this leader will manage complex issues that arise in the manufacturing supply chain, engage directly with stakeholders of key customers as needed, execute manufacturing-readiness plans to ensure successful product launches, develop improvement strategies in coordination with supply chain leaders, and contribute to the overall business strategy to further our culture of quality. They will be the focal point for all quality issues and product quality performance to customers across the Controls and Components Platform. What do we want to know about you? • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, • At least 5 years of relevant leadership experience in quality, operations, or engineering, leading cross-functional teams to improve processes/quality/reliability, • Knowledge of machining processes., • Knowledge of fabricating processes., • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly and test processes, • Proven analytical abilities, • Executive level presentation skills, • Demonstrated ability to excel in all customer service areas, including significant direct interaction with customers on issue resolution and ongoing collaboration, • Strong oral and written communication skills Desired Characteristics • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification, • Significant prior experience in Quality System Planning, Quality Improvement methods and auditing, • Demonstrated ability to balance customer and business needs while driving optimal outcomes, • Demonstrated track record of developing direct reports, • Significant operations leadership experience across multiple areas of supply chain leadership, • Significant Off-highway product knowledge… manufacturing processes, system interactions, failure modes, etc., • Bachelor’s or Master’s level engineering degree from an accredited university What will your typical day look like? • Lead technical efforts in quality control, reliability growth and infancy performance improvement, • Lead internal and customer interactions and responsiveness on all manufacturing supply chain quality & reliability related issues, • Direct continuous improvement programs to drive process excellence & adherence, including Cost of Poor Quality, • Compile and report manufacturing quality & reliability measurements, • Interact directly with customers on quality issues or improvement initiatives (they will be the focal point and have daily interaction with the customer), • Interface with service team, design engineering, program management, assembly, and vendors to assure product requirements are met effectively and in a timely fashion, • Ensure launch readiness for all new product/process launches, facility startups and transfers of work, • Ensure the Quality Management System QMS meets internal and customer requirements, incorporating appropriate process controls for applicable regulatory requirements., • Audit areas of responsibility for conformance to QMS, quality plans, systems and requirements, • Execute processes and methods rollout to ensure effective operator work instructions, • Establish goals, work plans, and budgets such that the highest quality results are achieved at the lowest cost, • Select, hire, train, and provide ongoing communication and leadership; ensure employees have adequate information concerning business goals and objectives, • Lead the development & advancement our quality culture in partnership with Supply Chain, • Develop and implement the quality strategy across the Controls and Components Platform. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus. The salary rate for this role is currently $117900-168000 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
