Join Our Oncology Team! \n\nJob Description: \n- Seeking a passionate Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology Clinic. \n- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00) \n- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of Ambulatory Oncology RN experience with chemotherapy knowledge. \n- Patient Age Groups: Care for a diverse range of patients: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics. \n- Daily Census: Provide care for 260 patients daily. \n- Number of Rooms: Work in a facility with 41 rooms. \n- Interdisciplinary Support: Collaborate with IV Teams, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary. \n- Patient Diagnoses: Focus on Oncology Patients, including those requiring Hematology Oncology, Solid Tumors (GYN, GI, GU, Breast, and Thoracic Oncology). \n\nSpecial Features of the Role: \n- Engage in ambulatory practice management ensuring efficient clinic flow and continuity of patient care. \n- Undertake comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions. \n- Manage new patient records for physician review and perform telephone triage of clinic patients. \n- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and side effects of therapies such as chemo, surgery, BMT, and CARt. \n- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous chemotherapy injections and work with CADD pumps for continuous infusions. \n- Access and troubleshoot PAS-ports and chest ports. \n- Assist physicians in minor surgical procedures including excisional biopsy, wound care, and JP drain management. \n\nQualifications: \n- Licensure: Active CA RN License required. \n- Certifications: \n - BLS required. \n - Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred. \n- Special Requirements: Oncology and chemotherapy experience required; hepatobiliary and surgical experience preferred for triaging post-op patients. \n- Flu Vaccine: Mandatory, with no exemptions. \n- Travelers: First-time travelers are not accepted. \n- Scheduling Requests: No scheduling requests can be accommodated. \n\nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
