The role of the Sales Manager is to be responsible to the Managing Director for the development and performance of all sales (and/or marketing) within the business. To provide management and direction to the sales & customer management team/resource and provide leadership and motivation in achieving sales & development targets. To develop income opportunities from existing clients and new, creating plans and strategies to convert opportunities into income. To provide accurate management information on sales process, market opportunities and team performance. To develop effective sales and marketing strategies that support company goals, targets and objectives. Principle Objectives and Responsibilities including the following (other objectives may be assigned): • Management of the account executive team in relation to new business sales on an ongoing basis including conducting structured weekly sales review meetings and away days., • Prepares actions plans for individuals/teams for effective search of sales leads and prospects., • Builds effective communications with Account Executives to establish training and development needs and provide insight for improvement of sales and activity performance., • To assist Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations., • To control expenses within budget guidelines., • Pipeline management., • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that achieves company sales targets including effective use of sales leads/ prospects and forecasting., • Develops a marketing strategy for the business within budget which demonstrates a return on investment., • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team., • Motivates the team using local incentives/promotions and celebrates success., • Recruitment, selection and assessment of Account Executives in accordance with group strategy and policy. A full UK Driving license in required for this role. Role Overview Our client is seeking a passionate and strategic Sustainability Manager to lead and develop their environmental and sustainability agenda across UK operations and contribute to global initiatives. This role will be pivotal in embedding sustainable practices, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement in line with their corporate ESG goals. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement a UK-wide sustainability strategy aligned with global objectives., • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including carbon footprint, energy usage, waste reduction, and recycling., • Lead initiatives to improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact across manufacturing and supply chain operations., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Procurement, R&D, and Marketing to integrate sustainability into business processes., • Ensure compliance with UK and EU environmental legislation and industry standards., • Represent the company in sustainability forums, industry groups, and with external stakeholders., • Prepare ESG reports and contribute to sustainability disclosures for customers and regulatory bodies., • Support the UK Sales Strategy and create sales opportunities through retailer and brand engagement., • Support product innovation with a focus on circular economy principles and sustainable design., • Manage sustainability certificates (Ecovadis,ASI,Sedex,GHG protocol, SBTi), • Drive employee engagement and training on sustainability topics. Qualifications & Experience • Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field., • Proven experience in a sustainability or environmental management role, ideally within manufacturing or packaging., • Strong knowledge of UK and EU environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001, GHG Protocol, CDP, SECR)., • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills., • Analytical mindset with experience in data reporting and performance tracking., • Passion for sustainability and ability to influence change at all levels.
