Registered Manager Family Assessment Unit Walsall (WS1) £47,008 £58,240 per annum We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a Family Assessment Unit in Walsall (WS1). This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong leader with experience in residential and assessment services to take full responsibility for the operational, regulatory, and strategic management of a specialist family-focused service. About the Role As the Registered Manager, you will be the Ofsted Registered Manager and hold full legal accountability for the service. You will ensure the home is effectively and efficiently managed, delivering the highest standards of care, assessment, and support to families. You will oversee staffing, budgets, compliance, and service delivery, ensuring that all work is appropriately evidenced and meets statutory and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership • Hold Ofsted registration and legal responsibility for the service, • Lead on safeguarding for vulnerable adults, children, and young people, • Oversee admissions, placements, and discharge processes, • Lead the development, implementation, and review of placement plans, • Undertake and review risk assessments, • Ensure detailed, accurate case recording and high-quality report writing, • Attend court and provide evidence where required, • Work closely with Therapeutic Teams to ensure appropriate support for families, • Maintain strong partnerships with Social Workers, Local Authorities, and health professionals, • Promote the health and welfare of families, • Create and maintain a homely, safe, and well-maintained environment, • Manage staffing structures and rotas to meet placement needs, • Lead safer recruitment in collaboration with HR, • Ensure robust induction, supervision, and appraisal processes, • Oversee staff training and development plans, • Monitor performance and manage absence, • Lead effective team meetings, • Manage and operate budgets in line with policies, • Provide clear leadership, guidance, and direction to the staff team, • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, Childrens regulations, and National Minimum Standards, • Embed a culture of high-quality care and continuous improvement, • Participate in the senior on-call rota, • When required, work as part of the rota to maintain staffing levels, • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within residential or family assessment services, • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and relevant childrens legislation, • Proven leadership and staff management experience, • Experience of court work and high-quality report writing, • Strong safeguarding knowledge, • Experience managing budgets and resources, • Competitive salary of £47,008 £58,240, • Opportunity to lead a specialist Family Assessment Unit, • Supportive senior leadership structure, • Ongoing professional development For a confidential discussion or to apply, please get in touch.
