Job Summary: The Sourcing Analyst is an entry level role supporting the sourcing team by assisting with supplier research, data analysis, preparation and issuing competitive bids, and negotiating / administering supplier contracts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time. This position is located in our Chicago office, hybrid schedule Key Responsibilities: Contract Management • Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts, amendments, and renewals in coordination with Legal, Information Security, Privacy and Stakeholders., • Review contracts terms and conditions, service levels, and pricing agreements provide redlines and updates as needed., • Track contract expiration dates and proactively initiate renewal or pre-sourcing activities., • Maintain contract database, ensuring accuracy, completeness of contract entries into Kemper’s contract tool., • Assist in resolving contract-related questions or issues with vendors. Sourcing Support • Help prepare and issue Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP)., • Coordinate sourcing activities low to medium complexity proposals (RFPs),, • Collect and organize bid responses and assist in comparing supplier offers., • Support negotiations by gathering cost and spend data for analysis., • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and specifications., • Compile and analyze spend data to identify trends and potential cost-saving opportunities. Supplier & Market Research • Research potential suppliers and gather data on pricing, product availability, and market trends., • Support the development of supplier databases and maintain accurate supplier information., • Assist in evaluating vendor capabilities and performance. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)., • 1–3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or contract support, • Understanding of sourcing, negotiation and contract processes, • Basic understanding of procurement or sourcing principles is a plus., • Familiarity with e-sourcing and contract management tools. (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle, or similar)., • Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CIPS), a plus, • Employment Sponsorship not provided Skills & Competencies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail., • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • High attention to detail and accuracy., • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment., • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
