Job Description Outreach Specialist - Workforce Development Services Description In a full-time, temporary position (from July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026) the Outreach Specialist will help increase the visibility of CCRPC's workforce development programs and increase the number of applicants and participants through outreach, networking, and public relations. The Outreach Specialist will increase the number of applicants for our October Scholarship Application Window and increase participants for open-enrollment programs. Job Requirements · Strong background in customer services and human services. · Experience in planning events, coordinating, and collaborating with social service agencies, organizations, schools, health facilities, and other entities. · Must demonstrate excellent listening skills, presentation and public speaking skills and the ability to share information effectively. · Ability to establish project management plans and develop mitigation plans to address potentials problems that may arise. · Ability to pass criminal background check. · Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout east central Illinois (a five-county area) as necessary to conduct services at outreach sites. · Ability to develop and implement processes for program service delivery. · Ability to follow program procedures while adjusting work style to meet the program needs and needs of the client. · Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally. · Proficient in English (spelling, punctuation, grammar). · Ability to attend worksite regularly to perform job duties and responsibilities. · Computer skills needed to complete case documentation, data entry and timesheets. · Ability to attend program meetings and/or training as required. · Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate scheduling needs including evenings and weekends. Summary Schedule: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., M-F Worksite: RPC Workforce Development Services – Champaign, Illinois Status: Full-Time/Seasonal (The duration of the job assignment is 9/2/25 – 6/30/26.)
