Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Group Fitness Coordinator COMPANY: Browns Fit DIRECTLY REPORTS TO: General Manager and Director of Group Fitness DEPARTMENT: Management Team/Group Fitness JOB SUMMARY: The Group Fitness Coordinator is a member of the Browns Fit team and plays a key role in the companys overall success.The Group Fitness Coordinator (GFC) will have experience teaching group fitness classes and be able to lead a fun, safe and effective group class based on the class description. The coordinator will represent the club in a positive manner, greeting the clients as they enter and leave class. WORK SCHEDULE: This is a part-time position. Your daily schedule will vary throughout the week depending on the needs of the club, the staff, and the members. KEY PERFORMANCE EVALUATION FACTORS: • Ability to exemplify and live the companys core values, • Ability to meet department and individual sales goals, • Ability to meet individual prospect and member follow-up goals, • Ability to fulfill essential duties, • Contribution and proactive participation as part of the companys Group Fitness and Management Team, • Arrive 10 minutes early for all classes to prepare the room and greet clients, • Dress appropriately when in the club and for all classes, • Maintain current and correct certifications for his/her format(s) as well as CPR certification, • Evaluate the group fitness schedule on a regular basis and be able to make adjustments where needed, • Make sure instructors are 'on brand' and teaching the appropriate formats, • Keep studios and all equipment orderly, neat and clean, • Ensure the stereo system along with the microphones are maintained and functioning properly and windscreens are being used by all instructors., • Maintain an electronic record of classes taught or subbed, including attendance numbers, • When needed, assist instructors if they need a sub and make sure all classes are covered to avoid cancellations, • All written or verbal communication must be delivered in a positive manner, • A passion for health and wellness and the ability to influence people in overcoming their obstacles to exercising, joining a fitness club, and in making lifestyle changes, • Experience teaching group fitness classes in a studio/club setting is required, • Enjoy networking and building relationships - comfortable on the phone and in doing outreach in the community, • Commitment to providing top notch customer service and some experience working in a fast-paced customer service role, • Computer-savvy and proficient in using programs such as Word & Excel, • Team player who approaches challenges in a creative and positive manner We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
