Job Description Location: North Vernon, IN Employment Type: 2nd Shift, Full-time, temp-to-hire Job Brief Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Tech Forge (151) our client. This role is responsible is responsible for safely maintaining plant equipment, facilities, and working conditions to support reliable manufacturing operations. This role works closely with production and maintenance leadership to align repair priorities, minimize downtime, and ensure equipment reliability that meets or exceeds customer expectations. What’s a Typical Day Like? · Safely maintain and repair plant equipment, facilities, and property to meet production and quality expectations. · Perform assigned maintenance tasks and preventive maintenance (PMs) according to schedules and work orders. · Notify Maintenance Team Leaders, Production Team Leaders, or Operators when maintenance tasks are completed and equipment is tested and ready for production. · Assist with maintenance activities that support development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives within the plant. · Interact with production and maintenance supervisors to align repair priorities with production needs. · Communicate material needs, shortages, or deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor. · Assist with planned changes to minimize disruption to required operations. · Rotate and assist other Maintenance Specialists as directed to support workload balance and time management. · Maintain effective communication between maintenance teams and shifts. · Support engineering and quality teams to ensure the reliability and capability of production equipment and supporting systems. · Assist with ongoing training efforts by sharing knowledge to support skill development across the maintenance organization. · Apply sound troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. · Maintain a strong, safety-focused work ethic and comply with all safety procedures and plant policies. · Support awareness and compliance with ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO14001 standards. What Are the Requirements of the Job? · High School Diploma or equivalent required. · Associate Degree in Applied Science (Electronics, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Automated Manufacturing) or equivalent electrical/mechanical experience preferred. · Equivalent work experience in a Maintenance Technician role will be considered. · Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing operations (4 years preferred). · Working knowledge of forging-related processes preferred, including: · Compacting; Forging; Deflash; Double disk grinding; Shot peen; Whitelight inspection; Video ink jet; Magnetic particle inspection; Dip tank operations. · Basic troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems) · Basic hydraulics and electrical experience · Strong problem-solving and critical evaluation skills · Practical thinking and intuitive decision-making · Organizational and interpersonal skills · Effective communication skills · Accountability and ethical work practices · Safety-focused mindset · Proficiency with tools and technology · Project- and goal-focused approach to work · Ability to work in fast-paced environment. · Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs. · Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel. · Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination. · Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time Why Choose Kable Workforce Solutions? · Weekly Pay · Exclusive Access Opportunities to V.I.P.
