Job DescriptionJob Title: Stability Panel Technologist Job Description The Stability Panel Technologist role is a full-time, primarily on-site, temp-to-hire position based in Golden Valley, MN, designed for candidates who live within a daily commuting distance. In this position, you lead the stability taste panel that informs data-driven decisions about product shelf life across a wide range of brands and product categories. You work closely with Stability Scientists and Medallion Laboratories to plan and execute panel sessions, develop sensory expertise, and support external client stability projects from initiation through completion. This opportunity offers strong technical depth in sensory science and shelf-life evaluation, along with the potential to convert to a permanent role within 6–12 months for high-performing talent and the benefit of six paid holidays. Responsibilities • Lead and facilitate stability panel sessions from end to end, including sample preparation, protocol execution, ballot creation, serving plans, and timing., • Taste and evaluate all product and ingredient samples associated with each project to assess sensory attributes and shelf-life performance., • Set up and execute panel evaluations in alignment with defined sensory testing parameters and project requirements., • Follow established sensory testing protocols and maintain strong Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) during all panel activities., • Lead calibration testing with the panel and Stability Scientists to ensure consistent and reliable sensory results., • Create concise, timely, and accurate reports and documentation that summarize panel findings and support data-driven decisions., • Build agility by cross-training with other panel leaders to ensure coverage, consistency, and shared best practices across panels., • Partner with Medallion Laboratories on customer calls, protocol setup in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), invoicing coordination, and other client-related activities., • Receive incoming samples, verify their requirements, and coordinate placement into appropriate storage or testing conditions., • Collaborate closely with team members and provide ongoing support to Stability Scientists throughout project execution., • Support special projects as needed, contributing technical and sensory expertise to new or evolving initiatives., • Use company-provided technology and tools to manage data, communicate with stakeholders, and support efficient panel operations.Essential Skills, • 2-year degree or a high school diploma with 3–5 years of related experience., • Proficiency with computer and technology tools, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint., • Comfort working in a laboratory environment and leading panel sessions with approximately 6–8 panelists., • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage samples, schedules, and documentation accurately., • Strong collaboration skills and a partnership mindset to work effectively with Stability Scientists, panelists, and external partners., • Proactive and self-motivated approach with a strong commitment to producing high-quality work., • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment., • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to handle product and ingredient samples as needed., • Foundational knowledge or experience in food science, nutrition, food safety, stability testing, sensory evaluation, and laboratory practices., • Ability and willingness to taste and evaluate a variety of food products and ingredients as part of daily responsibilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Bachelor of Science in Food Science or a related discipline., • Relevant laboratory or food industry experience, particularly in sensory or shelf-life testing., • Familiarity with food shelf-life testing methodologies and product sensory evaluation techniques., • Experience with or exposure to Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)., • Training, teaching, or facilitation skills that support effective leadership of trained taste panelists., • Experience working with stability panels, sensory panels, or similar structured evaluation groups., • Interest in expanding sensory knowledge, including descriptive language and evaluation techniques., • Motivation to learn, challenge existing approaches constructively, and grow as part of a collaborative team.Work Environment This role is primarily on-site in Golden Valley, MN, operating during first-shift working hours. The position is structured as a full-time, temp-to-hire contractor role with the intention to convert to a permanent position for strong performers within approximately 6–12 months. You work in a laboratory and sensory panel environment, handling food products and ingredients, preparing samples, and conducting structured taste panels with groups of 6–8 trained panelists. The work relies on company-provided technology and tools, including Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and LIMS, to manage data, coordinate protocols, and communicate with internal and external partners. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden Valley, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
