Power Up Your Career with Worldwide Power Products Worldwide Power Products is seeking a rock star General Manager to lead and scale our Rental Division. With 100+ MW of power assets deployed and growing, this role carries full P&L responsibility for one of our most capital-intensive and high-upside divisions. The General Manager owns revenue growth, margin performance, fleet utilization, capital allocation, and overall division performance while leading both the Rental Sales team and the Rental Service Manager to ensure commercial success and operational excellence. Essential Duties: Line of Business Ownership • Own the monthly rental P&L, • Drive revenue, margin, utilization, and expense control, • Approve rental-related POs and manage cost discipline, • Lead and hold Rental Sales team accountable for revenue growth and gross margin expansion, • Set pricing discipline and margin guardrails, • Maximize utilization of owned fleet assets, • Strategically manage re-rent usage based on margin and availability Re-Rent and RPO Strategy • Manage dealer and rental partner relationships, • Optimize re-rent margins and reduce unnecessary dependency, • Evaluate and execute Rental Purchase Options when economically advantageous, • Provide financial comparison between re-rent, RPO, and outright purchase decisions Capital Planning and Fleet Development • Manage CAPEX planning for new fleet investments, • Oversee refurbishing and rebuilding of existing fleet w/ Brittmoore shop lead, • Evaluate internal versus external vendor refurbishment, • Ensure capital deployment supports readiness, growth, and return on investment, • Provide strategic direction to the Rental Service Manager on fleet readiness, maintenance priorities, and asset lifecycle planning, • Partner weekly with collections to manage rental A/R, • Reduce DSO and manage aging exposure, • Personally engage on high-risk or escalated accounts, • Ensure disciplined contract terms and credit processes Reporting and Operating Rhythm • Deliver a structured weekly performance report, • Track owned fleet utilization versus re-rent, • Monitor margin performance, RPO activity, CAPEX spend, and A/R trends, • Identify operational risks and corrective actions early Leadership and Talent • Directly lead Rental Sales personnel and the Rental Service Manager, • Align commercial and operational teams to deliver profitable growth, • Set measurable performance targets for revenue, utilization, fleet readiness, safety, and customer satisfaction, • Drive hiring, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development within the division, • Build storm-response readiness across commercial and operational functions, • Promote rental capabilities, projects, and deployments, • Engage customers and strengthen long-term relationships, • Reports all recognized unsafe conditions or acts to management. Provide senior leadership and full oversight of all commercial and operational functions within the Rental Division. Direct Reports: Rental Service Manager (fleet, technicians, shop, logistics, safety); Rental Sales Account Managers; Rental administrative and support personnel. Leadership Expectations: Align Sales and Service to drive profitable, disciplined execution. Hold the team accountable for revenue growth, margin performance, utilization, fleet readiness, safety, and customer experience. Establish clear performance metrics and operating cadence. Lead hiring, compensation, performance management, and succession planning. Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration across Distribution, Service, Finance, and Executive Leadership. Model and reinforce WPP’s ALL-IN culture.
