More aboutour story More aboutour beliefs More aboutPastor Stephen & Pastor Zai Chandler The Creative Project Director serves Union Churchs Creative Department as its primary project manager, planner, and operational strategist. This role oversees the planning, coordination, an execution of creative deliverables across Graphic Design, Videography, Online Platforms, Marketing, and Social Media. In addition to managing timelines, scopes, and workflows, the Creative Project Director functions as a strategic partner to the Executive Pastor of Creative, ensuring that creative initiatives are aligned with Union Churchs mission, brand standards, and ministry priorities. This role requires exceptional administrative skill, high creative literacy, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns and projects in face-paced environments. General Responsibilities Project Management: Oversees all creative departmentprojects from brief through execution, establishingtimelines, scopes, budget estimates, and implementationplans while proactively identifying and mitigating risk.50% Team Coordination/Leadership: Serves as the day-to-dayproject lead for all teams within the Creative Department,ensuring timely execution, alignment, and accuracy acrossall deliverables.20% Creative Strategy & Campaign Planning: Collaborateswith internal and external stakeholders to ideate and plancreative elements that effectively communicate the mission,vision, and culture of Union Church.20% Pastoral Care & Administrative Tasks: Provides teamsupport, maintains department operations, and upholds theculture and values of Union Church.10% Creative Project Management Manage all creative projects from brief to delivery, including scope definition, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and risk mitigation. Develop and execute project strategies aligned with Union Churchs vision, brand, and strategic priorities. Partner closely with the Executive Pastor of Creative to translate vision into executable creative plans. Utilize Monday.com to build detailed project plans with clear owners, deadlines, and deliverables. Maintain a centralized system for creative briefs, assets, timelines, approvals, and status updates. Track budgets, resourcing, and vendor cost across creative initiatives. Conduct risk assessments and proactively resolve bottlenecks or misalignments. Produce regular project status updates and post-project reviews for leadership. Use performance data and insights to improve creative workflows and delivery. Team Coordination & Leadership: Serve as the day-to-day project lead for Creative, Marketing, Online, and Social Media teams. Facilitate weekly syncs with department leads to review progress, priorities, and blockers. Lead and support project coordinators and contributors within the Creative Department. Design and facilitate team meetings, planning sessions, and communication rhythms. Improve systems and processes to enhance collaboration, clarity, and efficiency. Advocate for creative team needs in cross-departmental initiatives. Reinforce Union Churchs values, culture, and commitment to excellence. Support team morale through celebration, encouragement, and care during high-demand seasons. Creative Strategy & Campaign Execution. Partner with Associate Pastors, Marketing, and Online leaders to develop cohesive creative strategies. Build and manage an annual creative roadmap covering campaigns, sermon series, events, and initiatives. Oversee creative planning for sermon series, digital campaigns, social initiatives, and marketing launches. Ensure alignment across graphic design, video, copy, and digital platforms. Manage base creative deliverables (print, digital, video, social assets, etc.) Ensure creative consistency across all platforms and campuses. Coordinate creative approvals and feedback loops with senior leadership. Maintain and refine creative SOPs and best practices. Pastoral Care & Church Presence. Attend Sunday services and engage with church partners and guests. Participate in Saturday morning prayer and major church events. Represent the Creative Department with professionalism, humility, and a servants heart.Support the Executive Pastor of Creative during weekend services and church-wide initiatives. Provide on-call creative or project support as needed to ensure excellence and continuity. This is a Central role, meaning weekend responsibilities are a continuation of the roles project oversight, leadership, and support functions across the church. Must-Haves • Passion for discipleship and connecting people into a community, • High-level networking/relational strengths with an ability to execute, • Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure, • A team player with excellent communication skills, • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability, • Great attention to detail and time-management skills ADDITIONAL MUST-HAVES * • Bachelors degree in related field (or relevant work experience), • 3-5 years of work experience in field, • 3-5 years of experience leading teams of diverse skillsets Nice-To-Haves • Management experience, • An ability to read and contextualize data and communicate it in a way that moves others to action, • Experience working or high-level volunteering for a church, non-profit., • Proficient in Google Drive Suite ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS • Flexible schedule. (Workweek is Sunday-Thursday. Frequent night and weekend availability will be requested), • Ability to lift 50 pounds., • Ability to stand for 30 minutes.
