This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently to meet daily targets. You will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders, packing products to a high standard, preparing goods for dispatch, and supporting general warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Picking Orders • Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using pick lists, handheld scanners, or voice-picking systems, • Locate stock quickly and efficiently within designated warehouse zones, • Check product codes, quantities, batch numbers, and descriptions, • Ensure picked orders match customer requirements, • Meet hourly and daily picking targets while maintaining accuracy Packing Orders • Safely and securely pack products for dispatch, • Use suitable packaging materials including boxes, bubble wrap, labels, shrink wrap, and tape, • Inspect items for damage before packing, • Label parcels correctly for courier and delivery dispatch, • Ensure packaging meets quality and presentation standards Goods In / Stock Handling • Receive incoming deliveries and unload goods, • Check deliveries against purchase orders or delivery notes, • Report missing, damaged, or incorrect stock, • Put stock away in the correct warehouse locations, • Assist with stock counts and inventory checks General Warehouse Duties • Keep workstations clean, tidy, and safe, • Follow all health & safety procedures, • Support loading and unloading when required, • Operate pallet trucks or other equipment (training provided where applicable), • Assist supervisors with urgent orders and priority shipments, • Work collaboratively with team members across departments Candidate Requirements Essential • Previous warehouse, factory, picking, packing, production, or logistics experience preferred (but not essential), • Good attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, • Good timekeeping and attendance, • Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift, • Positive attitude and willingness to learn, • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, • Basic English communication skills, • Right to work in the UK Desirable • Experience using handheld scanners / RF scanners, • Experience with KPI or target-based environments, • Manual handling experience, • PPT, LLOP, Counterbalance, or Reach Truck licence, • Experience in e-commerce, retail fulfilment, food production, or manufacturing Physical Requirements • Standing for long periods, • Walking throughout shift, • Repetitive lifting and packing tasks, • Lifting items up to [insert weight]kg in line with safe handling procedures, • Working in ambient, chilled, or temperature-controlled areas depending on department Shift Patterns • Monday to Friday, • Weekend overtime available, • 06:00 – 14:00, • 14:00 – 22:00, • 22:00 – 06:00, • Flexible part-time shifts available Pay & Benefits • Competitive hourly pay, • Weekly or monthly pay, • Overtime opportunities, • Holiday pay, • Pension scheme, • On-site parking, • Training and development opportunities, • Temp to perm opportunities, • Staff discounts (where applicable), • Supportive team environment What Success Looks Like in This Role • High picking accuracy, • Consistent productivity, • Low error rates, • Safe working practices, • Reliable attendance, • Positive teamwork Recruitment Process 1.
