Youll be joining our Civils Projects team - We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach. Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? You'll lead site teams including direct staff and subcontractors, ensuring daily briefings, inductions, and safe task execution. You'll manage and monitor site activities against programme targets, maintain records (photos, diaries, as-built drawings), and write/update contract programmes. The role will require you to take ownership of HSE compliance, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to behavioural safety standards. You'll do client meetings, provide delivery updates, manage public communications, and represent Milestone professionally. We'll ask you to handle formal communications (e.g., Early Warnings), support tendering and subcontractor selection, and collaborate with commercial teams on change management. For this role you must be available for night shifts or travel when needed, supervise night operations, and report outcomes to senior management. What youll bring SMSTS, CSCS (Supervisor), valid driving licence, and demonstrable experience in supervising highway and public realm projects. Strong civil engineering background (earthworks, drainage, highways, structures) and familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contract mechanisms. Proven ability to lead teams effectively, influence outcomes, and manage workforce performance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. Good commercial acumen for cost control, highly organised, adaptable to change, and able to manage multiple priorities. Whats in it for you?
