An established and approachable law firm is seeking to recruit a full-time Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join its friendly and well-regarded residential property team based in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-organised legal assistant looking to develop their career within a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities • Carrying out general administrative tasks, • Preparing and submitting quotes to clients, • Handling queries from clients, solicitors, lenders, and estate agents, • Providing client updates and monitoring matter progression, • Opening and closing files on the case management system in line with AML, quality standards, SRA, and CQS regulations, • Supporting leasehold transactions, • Conducting online searches, • Using the Land Registry portal to submit registrations, respond to requisitions, and obtain official copies, leases, and title plans, • Generating Stamp Duty Land Tax calculations and submitting applications, • Preparing and submitting bills, receipts, and payments to the finance team on behalf of fee earners, • Providing occasional reception coverRequirements, • Previous experience as a conveyancing assistant preferred, • Good understanding of the day-to-day operations of a legal office, • Advanced computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook), • Working knowledge of case management software, • Strong English language proficiency, • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure, • High attention to detail, • Basic understanding of the conveyancing processJob Details, • Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:15 (office-based) with a one-hour lunch break, • Immediate start available, • Attractive salary dependent on experience, • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, • Pension scheme, • Firm-funded eye tests, • Monthly holiday bonus scheme (additional days leave for regional income targets achieved), • Comprehensive training and development opportunities, including support for professional qualifications
