Job Description MHI Ship Repair & Services is a major marine repair and conversion contractor serving the U.S. Navy, Military Sealift Command, Maritime Administration and Commercial ship owners and operators worldwide. Our shipyard is conveniently located in the Mid-Atlantic region at the port of Hampton Roads, Norfolk Virginia. JOB SUMMARY: Oversees MHI’s NDT program which includes but is not limited to establishing techniques and procedures, interpreting codes and technical references, and providing NDT methods. Responsible for training, testing and certifying MHI’s NDT inspectors including the administration and maintenance of the certification program. Revises and updates procedures to applicable standards. SUPERVISES: NDT Personnel in QA Department ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Administers and maintains NST qualification program for Level I, II and III NDT personnel. Drivers must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Execution of field work encompassed in remediation and industrial maintenance projects while under direct or indirect supervision., • Drive an average of 30% of the time as well as work onsite as part of a team.
