Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement quality standards for incoming materials and components., • Conduct supplier audits to assess their quality systems and manufacturing processes., • Manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and track their effectiveness., • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement., • Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including PPAPs and First Article Inspections., • Monitor supplier performance metrics and provide regular feedback., • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure supplier readiness., • Investigate and resolve non-conforming material issues from suppliers. Recommended Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field., • Proven experience in supplier quality management, auditing, and corrective action processes within a manufacturing environment., • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and relevant industry standards., • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Root Cause Analysis., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective supplier relationship management., • Experience with statistical analysis software and data interpretation for quality improvement initiatives. Bonus Qualifications • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)., • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) software and its application., • Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)., • Experience with supplier development programs and initiatives., • Knowledge of advanced product quality planning (APQP) methodologies. This position involves assisting civil engineers by performing site development engineering tasks, applying standard practices and techniques, and adjusting data to identify and resolve discrepancies. The role also requires collaboration with other disciplines to ensure successful project outcomes.
