Job Description The Production Control & Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production flow and on-time delivery. This role supervises Production Control activities, manages work order scheduling, and supports cross-functional teams to optimize throughput, minimize delays, and improve overall operational performance. Crestview Aerospace Overview Crestview Aerospace is a manufacturing organization working closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, and several others to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to print assemblies. Crestview Aerospace provides these assemblies in support of in-service platforms, such as: H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Crestview Aerospace is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, and employs approximately 300 professionals. Essential Job Functions • Supervise and support Production Control and Scheduling team members, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company processes and timelines., • Create, maintain, and manage work orders, and MRP system data to support production requirements., • Develop and manage production schedules to meet internal and customer demand while minimizing delays, inventory levels, and production costs., • Review and evaluate customer engineering change orders and assess impact on production schedules and operations., • Maintain Part Master records, including MRP parameters, lot sizing, batching, and Production Control notes., • Monitor and manage work-in-process (WIP), constraints, bottlenecks, and production flow; proactively resolve scheduling and production issues., • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Assembly, Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to manage priorities, resolve constraints, and support workflow efficiency., • Analyze and report on key metrics including throughput, schedule adherence, delays, inventory levels, scrap, and production costs., • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, process improvements) to enhance production efficiency and reduce cycle time., • Manage and communicate production priorities, including customer expedites, AOG requirements, and "Hot List" items., • Oversee assembly kit availability and communicate shortages impacting production schedules., • Ensure timely release of work orders and track/report late releases with root cause analysis., • Provide leadership, training, and development to Production Control and Scheduling team members., • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with company goals and expectations., • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred., • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in production control, scheduling, or manufacturing operations., • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred., • Strong knowledge of MRP systems, production planning, and scheduling processes, Epicor preferred., • Experience with ERP systems, Epicor preferred., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Access is a plus., • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills., • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, JIT, load leveling, and Theory of Constraints preferred., • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills., • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed., • Leadership & Team Development, • Production Planning & Scheduling, • Problem Solving & Decision Making, • Attention to Detail, • Communication & Collaboration, • Continuous Improvement Mindset, • Operates in a fast-paced environment., • Frequent interaction with cross-functional teams., • Work performed in both office and shop floor settings., • Expose to manufacturing conditions such as noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures., • Requires balancing administrative tasks with hands-on production support., • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. Physical Requirements: Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
