Respiratory Therapist This position is a NBRC credentialed professional who provides respiratory care to patients in alternate sites in accordance with AdaptHealth’s policies and procedures. Respiratory care will be preventative, rehabilitative, and palliative in nature. The Respiratory Therapist will utilize all the resources available within the agency and community to accomplish care objectives. Job Duties: • Consistently demonstrates ability to adequately complete all documentation and charting procedures in compliance with ACHC and company policy and procedures., • Reviews Plan of Treatments and Care Plans to assure they are accurate and up to date., • Documents procedures including how the patient tolerated a procedure, side effects and other pertinent information., • Assists with authorization for CPAP/BiPAP referrals for patients., • Shows adequate knowledge of respiratory equipment and displays ability to utilize knowledge in the clinical setting., • Demonstrates ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment in the field successfully., • Maintains inventory control of CPAP/BiPAP supplies for sleep center., • Displays knowledge of assessment skills and demonstrates application of clinical skills during set-ups, follow-ups, and in-services., • Participates in discharge planning of highly technical cases., • Performs clinical assessments as needed and reports results and recommendations to the referral and physician., • Participates in highly technical discharges and prepares in advance to assure the patient and caregivers have a smooth transition to the home setting., • Performs in-services to hospital staff, referrals, other professionals regarding equipment & issues of clinical nature., • Follows up with physician and referrals regarding patient status and documents accurately and in a timely manner., • Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control and hazardous materials handling., • Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy., • Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA., • Perform other related duties as assigned. Business Office Manager Position Purpose Leads, guides and directs the financial operations of the healthcare facility in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to achieve facility financial goals. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred., • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a billing or supervisory capacity in the business office of a hospital, nursing home, or other related health care facility. Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the overall financial operation of the facility as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and current state and federal laws/regulations. Reports the facility's financial performance at least monthly, and more frequently as needed, to the Administrator and the Board of Managers, Directors, and/or governing body as directed. Identifies, in conjunction with the Administrator and selected department heads, the facility's key performance financial indicators. Establishes an ongoing system to monitor these key indicators. These key performance indicators promote the fiscal health of the facility. Evaluates key performance indicator outcomes with department heads to determine the need for action from leadership and/or management such as re-education or revisions related to the facility's financial outcomes. Develops and implements processes and systems in the Business Office to manage billing, collections (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), patient trust, liability notices, general ledger functions, business/payroll taxes, purchase orders, cash flow and all necessary business transactions using generally accepted accounting principles. Ensures the Business Office procedures comply with regulatory requirements related to bed-hold notice requirements. Develops and implements payroll accounting processes, including special accounting functions required by any employee benefit or retirement plans, insurance accounting required by the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, etc. Produces monthly facility income statement. Prepares financial records and cost reports for submission to authorized government agencies as required by current regulations. Utilizes and is proficient in various excel, word, adobe, and other electronic reporting formats. Maintains schedules for capital expenses and fixed asset depreciation. Reviews and interprets monthly financial statements and provides relevant information to the Administrator and Board of Directors, Managers, or governing body. Makes written and oral reports/recommendations routinely and as requested. Ensures monthly billing is completed timely using facility A/R software. Ensures facility's billing checks and balances are followed by all team members as required by facility policy including but not limited to the balancing of the daily census, Medicare triple check prior to billing, etc. Maintains working knowledge of all aspects of facility's financial software program. Develops and monitors accounts receivables. Reports delinquent accounts and solutions to overcome obstacles to the Administrator. Develops and maintains written policies and procedures that govern the accounting functions of the facility. Maintains a working knowledge of the state long term care Medicaid insurance program, Medicare Part A, B and C insurance program, and private long term care insurance programs. Ensures pre-admission financial evaluations regarding the identification of a payer source is coordinated with the Admissions Office as part of the pre-admissions process. Leads and coordinates daily, weekly, bi-monthly or monthly financial meetings to monitor budget compliance with facility department heads. Implements corrective action when necessary. Leads budget development with department heads bi-annually. Completes and analyzes facility monthly financial reports. Makes recommendations and financial projection reports to the Administrator regarding facility performance and stated objectives. Projects and develops yearly facility budgets with the Administrator. May be expected to report projected budgets with the Administrator to the Board of Directors Develops and maintains positive relationships with residents, employees, and family members. Promotes and establishes effective communication and customer service to achieve facility goals and customer satisfaction. Supervises all Business Office personnel and their work functions. Evaluates work performance of Business Office personnel in concert with Human Resources for expected performance outcomes. Ensures the admissions staff's behavior is aligned with facility financial goals. Addresses behaviors of Business Office personnel when incongruent with facility goals. Job Description • Essential Job Functions, • Must be able to implement, document, and follow the Overall Plan of Service for the residents/individuals in a timely manner. Follow individual programs and document accordingly., • Actively assist to achieve goals and desired outcomes based on IP and behavior goals., • Monitor medical, physical, and behavioral changes in individuals on a daily basis. Document and report any and all changes to the Residential Manager and/or the Program Coordinator, Nurse, Behaviorist, as needed., • Support to develop, maintain or enhance independent functioning skills in the area of sensory-motor, cognition, personal grooming, hygiene, toileting, etc., • Ensure that written dietary plans are followed for each individual., • Ensure the cleanliness of the home/day program, inside and outside. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of agency vehicle and request any maintenance needs as they occur., • Maintain HPE’s residents/individual’s right to privacy including knocking before entering home, resident’s bedroom, bathroom, or any other private area and adhere to HPE’s Confidentiality Policy., • Conduct oneself in a professional manner when interacting with supervisors, co-workers, consultants, families, guardians and members of the community., • Ensure that residents/individuals follow a daily schedule, which includes; a variety of community-based outings, programs, leisure activities, and positioning guidelines as shown on posted activity schedule. The posted activity schedule must be followed unless prior permission was obtained from Management., • Monitor compliance to safety requirements. Conduct fire drills assigned by Management. Report any health or safety concern immediately to Management., • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and distributed appropriately, correctly, accurately, and in a timely manner, including Incident Reports., • Attend all in-services, mandatory annual training and house meetings or staff meetings as required. Failure to attend two required house/staff meetings in a twelve month period will result in immediate removal from the schedule and disciplinary process., • Must have CPR, First Aid and PMT current while working directly with individuals. Also, must have or obtain Medication Administration Certification (if required). Must hold and maintain certifications throughout employment., • Must report to work in a working vehicle, have valid automobile insurance, registration and driver’s license and have gas to transport residents/individuals on outings, doctor appointments, as requested and as needed., • Assist residents/ individuals in daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and laundry. Staff must promote independence in all ADL skills., • Floor books must be completed each day, accurately, completely, and neatly. Document any changes noted during your shift., • Must be able to wait for relief staff prior to ending shift if residents/ individuals are 24 hour supervised. Staff to client ratio must be maintained at all times as outlined in each individual plan., • Day Program staff is required to provide services at another location when necessary unless otherwise notified. This would be required due to inclement weather, holidays or other circumstances., • Report on a daily basis in the staff log book all changes, issues, concerns. Read and initial every entry back to your last entry., • Report any medical changes, doctor’s appointments, new prescriptions as required., • Maintain confidentiality at all times; follow HIPPA guidelines., • Must dress appropriately per dress code., • Ensure that the program remains in compliance with DDS regulations and be present at all inspections if requested., • Must be able to perform all job functions and duties that are required of the Direct Care Staff employee., • Must adhere to Helping People Excel, Inc.’s policies and procedures., • All other duties as assigned. Report all errors of medication dispensation or documentation according to policy., • Client funds and petty cash procedures must be followed as designated for each individual. Exceptions are not allowed unless prior permission was obtained from Management., • Be responsible for the finances in the home, including the use of petty cash and individual client funds. Petty cash and client funds must be counted and verified prior to and at the end of each shift every day. Report any discrepancies to Management immediately. JOB REQUIREMENTS • Employee must possess a valid CT driver’s license, a vehicle in well maintained condition, valid registration and auto insurance. Must have a good driving record., • Must have a working vehicle during a scheduled shift with fuel to transport clients as needed., • Employee must read, write and speak English., • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent., • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent., • Experience preferred in direct patient/client care. Including but not limited to nurse’s assistant, adult home companion, doctor’s office, etc., • Must have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid within first 30 days of employment. Job Description JOB SUMMARY: The Residential Support Counselor (RSC) supports a nonprofit agency dedicated to provides direct care, guidance, and behavioral support to children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role ensures a safe, high-quality, structured, trauma-informed care in a therapeutic, supportive, and person-centered environment while fostering independence and life skills development. The RSC will implement behavior management strategies, assist with daily living activities, and support residents in residential, group homes, and community settings. WORK SCHEDULE: Adelbrook is a 24/7 operating Agency. Schedules are flexible, may include early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekdays, weekends, holidays, mandated overtime, mandated holds, and on call responsibilities. The RSC reports to the program designated supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: • Monitor and support residents' behavior using trauma-informed care and positive reinforcement techniques., • Implement individualized behavioral support plans (PBSP) to promote skill-building and adaptation of positive alternative behaviors., • Provide direct supervision, mentoring, and crisis intervention as needed., • Provide crisis intervention support using approved Physical/Psychological Management Training (PMT) techniques., • Teach and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks., • Organize and implement structured therapeutic and recreational activities to encourage socialization and personal growth., • Transport residents to medical appointments, off-site activities, and community integration programs., • Maintain accurate and timely records, including behavioral data, progress reports, and incident reports in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system., • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clinical staff to ensure consistent support for residents., • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and treatment planning discussions., • Follow established procedures for emergencies, illnesses, and crisis situations, including mandatory reporting and documentation., • Maintain active certification in agency-approved crisis intervention training, including all required levels of Physical and Psychological Management Training (PMT). Apply training techniques appropriately to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals served, staff, and others in the environment. Demonstrate competency in de-escalation strategies, safe physical interventions, and adherence to agency protocols., • Ensure compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and ethical guidelines., • Secure the facility by performing safety checks, monitoring medication storage, and ensuring proper supervision of residents., • May be mandated to maintain designated level of care within the residential program. This includes being sent to alternative locations for appropriate level of supervision, medical care, and/or medication administration., • Work additional hours, including mandated overtime, to ensure adequate staffing levels and the continuity of care for individuals served. This includes remaining on duty beyond scheduled shifts when necessary due to unforeseen staffing shortages or emergencies, • May be required to work Holidays, during inclement weather, and other times as directed by management., • Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. • Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, or a related human services field. • Experience: At least one year working with individuals with emotional, behavioral, or developmental disabilities in a residential or community setting., • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams., • Must be flexible to work across various educational, residential, and group home settings as needed., • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills., • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet transportation requirements as needed., • Ability to complete and maintain relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, crisis intervention).
