Client My client is a well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy with over two decades of success delivering projects across the UK. With offices Nationally, they’re entering an exciting growth phase driven by new client wins and expanding service offerings. They have a large presence in the education sector but also cover sectors such as healthcare, residential, and commercial. My client is now looking to offer an experienced Building Surveyor an opportunity to join a business where you can make a real impact, lead projects, and enjoy what you and there are plenty of opportunities to progress as the business continues to grow. Role They are seeking a Building Surveyor with solid project experience within a consultancy environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and delivering projects through the full lifecycle from feasibility and design through to handover. You’ll manage your own workload, be client-facing, and get involved in a diverse mix of work ranging from small-scale refurbishments to multi-million-pound new builds. Responsibilities As a Building Surveyor based in Manchester, your role will include: • Manage and deliver projects across the full lifecycle from inception to completion., • Prepare client briefs, feasibility studies, specifications, and tender documentation., • Administer JCT contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations., • Carry out site inspections, condition and damp surveys., • Oversee project handovers and snagging processes., • Liaise closely with clients, contractors, and other consultants., • Support with bid writing and business development when required. Person To be successful in this Building Surveyor role in Manchester, you will bring significant project experience working for a consultancy firm. Key requirements you should have: • Relevant degree within Building Surveying., • MRICS or CIOB chartership is beneficial but not essential., • Experience delivering projects within a consultancy environment., • Experience in contract administration and project management, with strong knowledge of JCT contracts., • Commercially aware with the ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships., • Driven, ambitious, and motivated to take on responsibility within a growing consultancy., • Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure., • Willingness to complete a DBS check., • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
