Team Leader/Senior Support Worker– Children’s Residential Care The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join a well-established provider of children’s residential care, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This is a key role within the home, working closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy to lead a team, maintain high standards, and create a safe, stable environment where young people can thrive. The Role As Team Leader, you will: • Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers on shift, • Deliver high-quality, child-centred care, • Support young people with daily routines, education, and life skills, • Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people, • Promote a positive, nurturing and structured home environment Safeguarding & Compliance • Maintain strong safeguarding practice at all times, • Ensure care plans, risk assessments and behaviour strategies are followed, • Support staff with de-escalation and behaviour management, • Complete accurate records and contribute to care planning Leadership Responsibilities • Provide guidance, supervision and day-to-day leadership to staff, • Support with rotas, training, and staff development, • Assist with recruitment and onboarding, • Act as a role model for best practice ✅ What We’re Looking For • Experience working in a children’s residential setting, • Previous experience as a Senior or Team Leader (or ready to step up), • Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements, • Working towards Level 3 in Children & Young People If you are looking for your next step in children’s residential care and want to join a service that values quality, consistency, and positive outcomes, apply today or get in touch for a confidential discussion
