WHO YOU ARE As a Contract Sales Manager based in our Madison facility, you will be selling onsite preventative maintenance service contracts of critical power systems (i.e., UPS, DC systems, inverters, PDUs, STS, and standalone reserve battery technologies). You will foster both new and existing client growth as a direct interface with our customers and potential customers. You will execute critical thinking, problem solving and effective communication skillsperhaps all in parallel at times. As a Contract Sales Manager for Facility Gateway, you will research and call qualified prospects to reach the correct decision maker. From there you will coordinate an effective quote and propose service solutions that address our customer needs and ensure company goals are achieved. You work well in non-static situations and can react and adapt quickly, as necessary. You are comfortable both working independently and supporting and driving team efforts, when required. You're a self-starter and a go-getter. YOUR PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Prospecting & Business Development • Research industries and companies to identify potential new business opportunities., • Learn how to use modern sales tools, CRM platforms, and AI-driven resources to generate qualified leads., • Participate in networking efforts, industry outreach, and digital research to build a strong sales pipeline., • Work alongside senior sales leaders to develop strategic outreach campaigns. Relationship Building & Client Support • Build professional relationships with both new and existing customers., • Learn to assess client needs and recommend tailored solutions that solve real business challenges., • Provide responsive, high-quality customer support to ensure long-term partnerships., • Assist in developing customized proposals, presentations, and sales materials., • Deliver presentations (with mentorship and training) to clearly communicate our value proposition., • Support the sales cycle from initial conversation through deal execution., • Learn effective negotiation strategies that create win-win outcomes., • Contribute toward achieving monthly and quarterly team sales goals., • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies., • Share insights and feedback with the team to help refine sales strategies., • Maintain accurate CRM records of customer interactions and sales activity., • Prepare simple performance summaries to track personal growth and results., • Assist in maintaining Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation to support continuous improvement., • Participate in structured training programs to build technical knowledge and sales expertise., • Hands-on mentorship from experienced sales and operations leaders, • Clear career path into Account Management, Senior Sales, or Strategic Sales roles, • Exposure to technical infrastructure solutions in a high-growth, recession-resistant industry, • Opportunity to make measurable impact early in your career THE QUALIFICATIONS WERE SEEKING • High School diploma (or equivalent), • Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time, • Strong negotiation and closing skills, • Familiarity with the [industry] and understanding of client needs, • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools, • Self-motivated and results oriented YOUR KEY COMPETENCIES • Conduct tactful and respectable interactions with customers and fellow team members to maintain productive, harmonious relationships., • Promote and exhibit an always selling mentality when communicating with customers, service partners, and vendors., • Possess a fundamental IT fluency with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, and Word primarily) and cloud-based SaaS solutions, as they apply to work productivity., • Promote, mentor, and correct personnel activities and behaviors, when necessary., • Live and project a customer and company commitment mentality through a routine focus on process, attention to detail, on-time service delivery, and an uncompromised dedication to the achievement of both customer and company objectives., • Utilize proven reasoning abilities, sound judgement, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a collaborative approach to the team dynamic (even when operating independently) ADDITIONAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS • Standard workweek: M-F, 8 AM 5 PM, but should anticipate minimal temporary adjustments to support fellow team member PTO and training cycles., • Must possess a valid U.S. state or territory issued drivers license., • Supports the after-hours emergency service request response rotation with other team members.
