Job DescriptionDescription: Location: Greenwood, Indiana Reports to: Operations Manager Job Summary At National Trade Supply, the Fulfillment Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations across inbound, outbound, inventory flow, and daily floor leadership. This versatile role goes beyond a single functional lane — providing holistic support across the fulfillment lifecycle, from receiving and putaway to picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing. The Fulfillment Supervisor leads a team of associates, maintains strong cross-department communication, and drives continuous improvement across all workflows. Key Responsibilities Leadership, Management, and Accountability • Select, train, coach, and mentor associates across inbound, outbound, inventory control, and returns workflows., • Foster a positive, high-energy team environment aligned with NT Supply’s Core Values., • Provide real-time coaching, performance feedback, and recognition., • Promote teamwork, accountability, and proactive communication across shifts and departments. Inbound Operations Management Receiving • Oversee receiving operations to ensure timely unloading, inspection, and documentation of all inbound shipments., • Validate incoming goods against purchase orders; escalate discrepancies promptly., • Coordinate dock schedules to minimize congestion and ensure smooth inbound flow. Putaway & Inventory Flow • Direct efficient and accurate putaway of materials into designated storage locations., • Maintain FIFO/FEFO compliance and support location accuracy., • Partner with Inventory Control on cycle counts, root-cause reviews, and shrink reduction. Returns (Reverse Logistics) • Oversee the receiving, sorting, and disposition of customer returns (restock, refurbish, scrap)., • Track trends and communicate insights that may signal product, packaging, or quality opportunities. Outbound Operations Management • Oversee picking, packing, shipping, and order verification activities to ensure accuracy, quality, and on-time fulfillment., • Allocate labor to balance workload, reduce bottlenecks, and sustain consistent flow., • Ensure SOPs are followed, updated, and continuously improved for efficiency and clarity., • Monitor key outbound KPIs: order accuracy, on-time shipment, productivity, error rates. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with Inventory, Receiving, Procurement, Customer Service, and CX to resolve operational issues and keep orders moving smoothly., • Communicate exceptions, delays, and product issues proactively., • Coordinate with leadership during peak periods to ensure adequate staffing, resource planning, and workflow alignment. Safety & Compliance • Model and enforce all safety standards; identify hazards and act immediately to correct them., • Conduct routine safety checks and participate in investigations and corrective actions., • Promote a “Safety First” culture through consistent communication and accountability. Continuous Improvement • Identify inefficiencies across inbound and outbound operations and lead improvement initiatives using Lean and root-cause analysis., • Recommend and implement changes that improve accuracy, throughput, quality, and associate engagement., • Use data to support decision-making and set measurable goals for improvement. Requirements • 2+ years of leadership experience in fulfillment, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing., • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and safety., • Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills., • Hands-on experience with receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and/or returns workflows., • Familiarity with warehouse technology, including WMS systems, RF scanners, and basic reporting tools., • Strong understanding of safety standards, best practices, and OSHA guidelines within a warehouse environment., • Demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy, manage competing priorities, and deliver consistent execution.
