Contract Opportunity - SDET – 12 Months – £575 p/d Inside IR35 NOTE: Candidates for this contract must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC). Key Details • Role: SDET, • Duration: 12 Months, • Start Date: 1st April, • Location: Birmingham (hybrid, 2–3 days per week on-site), • Rate: Up to £575 per day (Inside IR35), • Clearance: Must be SC eligible, • Interview Process: 2 stages (Competency discussion + Technical test) We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support a major UK infrastructure programme. This role is suited to a hands-on automation specialist who can design, implement, and manage modern testing frameworks while working closely with engineering and project stakeholders. Responsibilities • Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test strategies for system updates and integrations., • Develop and implement a test automation framework integrated with Azure DevOps., • Establish and maintain a centralised automation testing repository., • Build data-driven automated regression test suites., • Write and maintain automation test scripts across system layers., • Conduct manual testing where automation is not feasible (exception-based)., • Ensure coverage across multiple test types Required Experience • Strong experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration., • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Dataverse, API Testing, Power Automate, Azure API Management (APIM), • Experience setting up automation testing within CI/CD pipelines, • Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2)., • Experience presenting automation metrics and reporting test outcomes. Deliverables • Comprehensive test plans and supporting evidence., • Performance and security testing results., • UAT sign-off documentation., • Regression testing evidence., • Accessibility compliance reporting., • A test framework capable of running within Azure DevOps., • All test materials approved by relevant architecture, QA, and project stakeholders.
