Job Title: Learning & Development Coordinator (12-Month FTC) \n Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working – 2–3 Days in the Office) \n Salary: competitive + Benefits \n Contract Type: Full-time, 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract \n \n About the Role: \n We’re recruiting for a Learning & Development Coordinator to join the People team of a leading law firm on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit Learning & Development team while gaining valuable exposure to Early Talent initiatives, making it an excellent stepping stone for someone looking to build a long-term career within talent development. \n \n Working closely with the Learning & Development team and the Early Talent Advisor, you'll support a broad range of development programmes, training initiatives and early careers activities. From coordinating learning events and onboarding programmes to supporting apprentice recruitment and trainee open days, you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding employee experience. \n \n This role would suit someone with previous Learning & Development or L&D Administration experience, ideally gained within a legal or professional services environment, who enjoys variety, event coordination and stakeholder engagement. \n \n Key Responsibilities: \n Learning & Development Coordination \n\n • Coordinate learning and development programmes across the business\n, • Organise training sessions, workshops and development events\n, • Support the delivery of induction programmes for new starters\n, • Prepare presentations, learning materials and training resources\n, • Manage training communications, bulk emails and surveys\n\n Early Talent Support \n\n • Support the Early Talent Advisor with apprenticeship and trainee initiatives\n, • Assist with apprentice recruitment, including CV screening and interview panels\n, • Coordinate trainee open days and "Come and See the Firm" events\n, • Support wider early careers activities and engagement programmes\n\n Event Planning & Administration \n\n • Coordinate L&D events from planning through to delivery\n, • Arrange venues, meeting logistics and attendee communications\n, • Produce attendance reports and post-event feedback\n, • Maintain accurate learning records and training documentation\n\n Stakeholder Engagement \n\n • Build strong relationships with managers and internal stakeholders\n, • Respond to L&D and early talent queries across the business\n, • Promote learning opportunities and development initiatives\n, • Support the continuous improvement of learning programmes\n\n \n Candidate Profile: \n\n • Previous experience within Learning & Development, L&D Administration or L&D Coordination\n, • Experience gained within legal or professional services is desirable\n, • Exposure to Early Talent, apprenticeships or graduate programmes is advantageous\n, • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities\n, • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills\n, • Experience coordinating events, training sessions or development programmes\n, • Confident using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel\n, • Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to build a career within Learning & Development\n, • Strong attention to detail with a customer-focused approach\n\n \n What Our Client Offers: \n\n • Hybrid working (2–3 days per week in the Birmingham office)\n, • Opportunity to gain exposure across both Learning & Development and Early Talent\n, • Supportive, collaborative team environment\n, • Excellent stepping stone into a long-term Early Talent career pathway\n, • Comprehensive benefits package\n, • Two-stage interview process:\n, • First stage via Microsoft Teams\n, • Final stage face-to-face\n\n \n How to Apply: \n If you're an L&D professional looking to broaden your experience across Learning & Development and Early Talent within a leading professional services environment, we'd love to hear from you. \n \n About Us: \n We are a recruitment agency specialising in HR, Learning & Development, Early Talent and professional services appointments across the UK.
