As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for Mobile Device Services (Grade 7), you will develop and maintain infrastructure products and contribute towards their design, responsible for all aspects of the service from the Mobile Device Management (MDM) configuration itself, to the integrations and services that underpin it: • You will be responsible for the operational stability of the infrastructure solutions, and be in a position to affect change in the on-going robustness and resilience of those products., • You will work within and contribute to the overall Infrastructure Development Lifecycle Process as part of a delivery team focused on one or more products., • You will provide 3rd line support for incidents, problems and changes, monitoring infrastructure service/solution including alerts and taking appropriate action where required., • You will provide technical support and assistance, ensuring a consistent level of service/solution capability available for users whilst providing administration and support of infrastructure solutions., • You will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation to support services/solutions used by the organisation, this includes managing a supplier to maintain information on a 3rd party product., • You will track and monitor requirement documentation including prioritisation of improvement actions., • You will specialise in recording incidents, problems and changes raised by users including resolution actions, you must also monitor and manage KPIs and service performance against those metrics., • You will have knowledge of designing and implementing Enterprise Mobility Management/Mobile Device Management (EMM/MDM) solutions like Workspace One, Intune or Samsung Knox that enables the security and controls for DWP mobiles meeting varied needs of wide range of user groups.Person specification When giving details in your employment history and personal statement you should highlight your experience in line with essential criteria below: • Influential with strong communication and leadership skills., • Significant demonstrable experience of building, configuring, administering and supporting infrastructure technologies., integrations and solutions for Mobile Devices (iOS/Android)- e.g. Workspace One/Intune., • An expert knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Mobility Management software and principles, with experience in deploying, configuring and supporting mobile clients such as Apple iOS and Samsung Knox devices., • Extensive experience and proven track record of Cloud Hosted infrastructure services within AWS and Azure, including knowledge of networking principles in a security conscious environment and practised in deploying infrastructure via pipelines using CI/CD tools and methodologies., • Strong working knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Azure / Entra ID / Intune configuration and policies, including knowledge of Identity principles, SSO and Certificate Based Authentication. The maximum salary for the grade is 68,205, however a Digital Allowance of up to 312 per annum is available for exceptional candidates. Digital Allowance is non-salary, and non-pensionable, and is classed as a temporary allowance. It is reviewed annually where it could be retained, amended, or removed. Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer will maintain their current salary. Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion will either move to the bottom of the grade pay scale or get a 10% increase to their current salary whichever would be the greater.
