🌟 We’re Hiring: Senior Residential Care Worker – Children’s Residential Services 🌟 📍 Location: Kegworth, Derby 💷 Salary: £30,500 – £34,500 (depending on experience) 📑 Contract: Full-time, Permanent We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Residential Care Worker to join a three-bedded Ofsted-registered children’s residential home for young people aged 10–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and mild learning disabilities (LD). This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes while also developing your leadership skills. With a clear career pathway, there is scope to progress into a Deputy Manager position, subject to performance. ✨ About the Role As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will: • Lead and supervise shifts, ensuring safety, consistency, and high-quality care., • Provide direct support to children, helping them develop independence, resilience, and positive life skills., • Implement, review, and update individualised care plans., • Support, mentor, and guide Residential Care Workers to maintain professional practice., • Uphold safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements., • Encourage education, hobbies, and community engagement for young people., • Contribute to Ofsted inspections and ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards., • Maintain accurate records, reports, and incident documentation., • Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals. ✅ What We’re Looking For • Experience leading shifts/key-working in a children’s home., • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)., • Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and trauma-informed practice., • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills., • Flexibility to work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins., • Full UK driving licence (essential)., • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
