Job Description Part-Time Legal Assistant Contract Length: 3 months to start, with possible extension Location: Denver Schedule: 18–20 hours per week (may increase up to 25 hours per week) Pay Rate: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour Reporting To: Legal Leadership Team: Legal Department (Real Estate & Franchise Support) Position Mission The Part-Time Legal Assistant provides essential support to the Legal Department across real estate, corporate governance, and general legal administration. This role partners closely with senior legal staff and cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate preparation, execution, organization, and maintenance of legal documents while supporting key legal and administrative processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Real Estate & Lease Administration • Prepare, review, and manage leases, lease amendments, estoppel certificates, and SNDA agreements., • Coordinate execution of SNDAs and other legal documents using Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Sign, ensuring proper signatures and compliance., • Maintain and manage lease stock holds and related tracking logs., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records of lease agreements and supporting documentation. Document Management & Execution • File, organize, and maintain legal documents within electronic document management systems, ensuring version control, accuracy, and proper indexing., • Track document execution status and follow up with internal and external stakeholders as needed., • Apply consistent legal formatting standards to contracts and related documentation. Corporate Governance Support • Review and provide comments on Board of Director meeting minutes prepared by the Corporate Secretary., • Assist with document preparation and recordkeeping related to corporate governance activities. Administrative & Financial Support • Support senior legal staff with accounting-related tasks, including invoice tracking, budget coordination, and vendor setup., • Assist the Legal Team with administrative, operational, and project-based assignments as needed. Notary Responsibilities • Serve as a notary public, notarizing legal documents as required. Education • Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required., • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience Requirements • 3–5 years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, lease administrator, or document administrator in a corporate or law firm environment., • Strong working knowledge of lease documents, contracts, estoppels, and SNDAs., • Familiarity with real estate law; exposure to franchise law, FDDs, or corporate governance is a plus., • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Sign, and electronic document management systems., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., • Active Notary Public certification. Skills & Attributes • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization., • Resourceful, proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently., • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • High level of integrity with a strong commitment to confidentiality.
