Position Summary: The Head of Product Innovation & Creation is a hands-on leader responsible for driving the beginning-to-end process of conceptualizing, designing, developing, and launching innovative products that meet evolving market needs. This role requires insatiable curiosity, insight to ask the right questions, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, particularly with the SVP Global Operations, SVP Global Sales and VP Branding & New Market Development, to ensure strategic alignment, efficiency and scalability. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred, but not required with applicable experience. Below are a set of creative applicable experiences and requirements designed to cultivate the visionary qualities essential for this pivotal leadership role. • Exposure to startup accelerators, incubators, or entrepreneurial coursework nurturing a mindset geared toward experimentation, innovation, product creation, and commercial viability., • Short courses, micro-credentials, or practical hands-on innovation experience in managing the development of new products, product lifecycle, branding, and go-to-market strategy ensuring creative outputs aligning with business objectives. Technical Skills: • Strong knowledge of nonwoven materials, processes, and applications., • Microsoft Office 365 – PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Power BI, CRM., • Experience with quality control methods and lean manufacturing principles., • Demonstrated project management capability., • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with outstanding communication skills and attention to detail., • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects., • Strong organizational, planning & time management skills to balance the needs while executing focus initiatives., • Excellent customer service skills, ability to lead and collaborate within a team., • The ability to creatively turn challenges into opportunities., • Excellent analytical and listening skills., • Use proactive measures to increase customer satisfaction and company profitability. Keys to Success: • Ideation and Concept Development: Lead efforts to identify new product opportunities through research, market analysis, and engagement with customers and internal stakeholders. Foster an environment that encourages questioning assumptions and exploring solutions., • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams to ensure the feasibility, manufacturability, and supply chain readiness of new products. Build strong partnerships with sales and marketing teams to integrate their market insights and ensure the commercial viability and scalability of new offerings., • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the product development process from ideation through launch and post-launch evaluation. Establish clear check and adjust mechanisms to continuously refine and improve products. Utilize advanced materials and processes to create products that are both cost-effective and environmentally friendly., • Scalable Approach: Develop and implement strategies for product development that allow for rapid scaling in response to market demand. Ensure that all new solutions are designed with future growth and flexibility in mind., • Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices for streamlining product development processes. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to challenge the status quo and seek efficiencies. Implement lean principles to streamline operations and enhance product consistency. Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring all procedures are clearly defined and followed., • Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Work with quality and compliance teams to ensure all products meet necessary standards and regulations. Build quality into the design and development process from the outset. Lead continuous improvement efforts and identify areas where quality can be improved, reducing defects and increasing product reliability. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality issues that arise during the new product development process., • Curiosity and Critical Thinking: Demonstrates a natural tendency to ask “why, what if, and how,” driving deeper understanding and innovation., • Strategic Agility: Able to see both the big picture and the critical details, balancing long-term vision with immediate execution.
