Job DescriptionBenefits: • 401(k), • Dental insurance, • Free uniforms, • Health insurance, • Training & development SUMMARY The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for endtoend distribution execution and performance for outbound operations from the Hayward facility. This role provides senior operational leadership across packout, staging, dispatch readiness, and lastmile coordination, while owning daily performance outcomes related to accuracy, ontime dispatch, labor productivity, safety, and compliance.The Distribution Supervisor serves as the primary owner of daily distribution results, acting as the escalation point for complex operational issues, leading crossfunctional coordination, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support reliable, compliant, and costeffective distribution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Distribution Performance & Ownership • Own daily and weekly distribution performance across ontime dispatch, order accuracy, labor efficiency, and outbound throughput, • Translate volume forecasts and operational plans into staffing, sequencing, and execution plans, • Serve as the single point of accountability for outbound execution issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action, • Lead daily outbound huddles, shift handoffs, and postshift performance reviews, • Partner with Operations leadership to support growth, new routes, customer launches, and seasonal volume changesOutbound & Packout Operations, • Supervise daily packout operations, including order picking, verification, staging, and load preparation, • Ensure outbound orders are picked accurately, packed correctly, and staged according to delivery routes and schedules, • Monitor order accuracy, shortages, substitutions, and lastminute changes, escalating issues as needed, • Ensure outbound timelines are met to support ontime dispatch and delivery, • Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for outbound and packout activities, • Continuously evaluate workflows to improve throughput, accuracy, and labor efficiencyTeam Leadership & Development, • Lead, coach, and develop Packout and Distribution team members, setting clear expectations aligned to performance KPIs, • Own daily labor deployment, crosstraining, and coverage planning for outbound operations, • Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; provide coaching and corrective guidance as needed, • Assist with onboarding and training of new outbound and packout employees, • Deliver ongoing feedback and performance management in partnership with Operations leadership, • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment on the outbound floor, • Model professional conduct, accountability, and operational disciplineFleet & Dispatch Readiness, • Oversee daily fleet readiness, ensuring vehicles are staged, fueled/charged, clean, and ready for dispatch, • Coordinate vehicle availability, keys, mileage logs, and pretrip readiness documentation, • Identify, escalate, and track vehicle, route, and dispatch readiness issues and recurring trends, • Ensure proper use and accountability of outbound equipment such as carts, pallets, scanners, and dock equipment, • Partner with Logistics leadership on route execution feedback, fleet utilization, and capacity planningCompliance, Safety & Quality, • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and workplace safety standards, • Conduct outbound checks to confirm correct handling, timing, and temperature controls where applicable, • Participate in audits, inspections, and operational reviews, • Immediately address and report safety hazards, incidents, or compliance concerns, • Own outbound readiness for audits and compliance reviewsCommunication & CrossFunctional Coordination, • Coordinate closely with Drivers, Customer Success, Warehouse, QA, and Operations teams to ensure smooth outbound execution, • Serve as the primary point of contact for realtime distribution issues during assigned shifts, • Communicate operational risks, staffing gaps, and performance trends to leadership, • Proactively escalate customerimpacting issues with recommended solutionsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs) The Distribution Supervisor is accountable for performance against the following metrics: • OnTime Dispatch Rate, • Order and Packout Accuracy, • Outbound Throughput vs. Plan, • Labor Productivity (orders or routes per labor hour), • Fleet Readiness at Dispatch, • Safety Incidents and Near Misses, • Audit and Compliance Scores, • Distribution Issue Resolution TimeOther Duties, • Prepare operational reports and maintain required documentation, • Lead and implement process improvement initiatives using data, rootcause analysis, and standardization, • Perform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS, • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations, • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, • Experience supervising order picking or packout teams in fastpaced environments, • Familiarity with fleet coordination or delivery operations, • Knowledge of food safety, cold chain, or regulated distribution environments, • Strong organizational, analytical, and problemsolving skills, • Proven ability to own operational KPIs and drive performance improvement, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels, • Strong work ethic, reliability, and professional demeanor, • Valid drivers license with a clean driving recordEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, • Associates Degree or higher preferred, • Demonstrated experience training, developing, and managing warehouse or distribution staff, • Minimum two years of progressive experience managing shipping and inventory operations, • Experience complying with GMP, USDA, Food Safety, GAP, HACCP, and Organic Certification requirements, • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, • Experience participating in facility or operational audits, • Forklift and electric pallet jack experienceLANGUAGE SKILLS Bilingual English & Spanish is required. REASONING ABILITY Some analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work. Excellent organizational skills required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands of this position are typical of those found in a warehouse & kitchen setting.
