You will arrange and conduct EPC assessments on our housing stock, carrying out high quality retrofit assessments that can be relied upon for appropriate retrofit delivery and determine their suitability for various energy efficiency measures. Completing relevant technical surveys where applicable and keeping accurate records of all assessments and discussions with residents. About the Role/team We have set an objective to ensure that our homes achieve a minimum energy efficiency rating of EPC Band C by 2030 and deliver homes to net zero emissions by 2030. To achieve this, we will be undertaking energy efficiency retrofit works to many of our homes. Measures will range from single measures to whole house retrofit. You will be part of the surveying team that correctly identify which properties we should be concentrating our efforts on. With over 17,000 housing stock, in our Southern region we are concentrating on our lowest performing stock and you will be instrumental in assessing which properties we should be making improvements to and when by performing high quality EPCs for our voids and mutual exchange teams whilst using that data to inform our retrofit programme of works. You will be carrying out technical surveys and retrofit assessments with high levels of accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Work with the Retrofit Surveying Manager and Retrofit Delivery Team and collaboratively across Paradigm Housing to establish suitable properties for retrofit works. Effectively communicate the benefits of good retrofit practices and energy efficiency standards which helps residents to reach a good standard of comfort. Maintain a good knowledge of changes within the retrofit processes and keep your technical knowledge up to date including all technical improvements that could help improve the condition, energy efficiency and comfort of all properties. Undertake assessments, inspections and validation of proposed retrofit property lists and the development of agreed measures of works. Where defects are found which could impact on the success of the retrofit measures you will arrange for repairs to be carried out prior to the start of retrofit works. Attend and take part in regular Retrofit Project meetings. This will require your feedback and input of findings from your surveys, any monitoring you are supervising and, any evaluating you have been assigned. Working with our Customer Liaison Manager and other stakeholders to engage with customers to ensure the successful outcome of retrofit projects The priority of this post is ensuring all homes with a current EPC of less than C are identified. This is essential to enable retrofit works to be planned in sufficient time to enable all our homes achieve a minimum EPC band C by 2030. Post 2030, the priority is Net Zero. What Were Looking For Must haves: Experience in correctly identifying building construction Sufficient experience in identifying existing EEMs (Energy Efficiency Measures) Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor with a minimum 2 years PQE Level 4 Retrofit Assessor with a minimum 2 years PQE Level 3 qualified in Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings Friendly, approachable and with excellent adaptable interpersonal and communication skills. Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines. Ability to respond to changing circumstances on projects (resilience). Excellent customer care skills with the ability to work with customers to address their diverse needs to support the successful delivery of projects. A full driving licence (preferably clean) and car. This position will involve visiting customers in their homes and attending site meetings. (Business mileage will be paid in line with our policy). A flexible approach and ability to work out of office hours including occasional evening meetings. This will be a hybrid role, mixing visiting customers in their homes, office, and home working. Nice to haves: Current building regulation understanding (eg ventilation) To have a background of working within delivering energy efficiency measures to house holders, tenants and landlords. Previous Social Housing experience.
