This customer‑facing role is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of multi‑location and national commercial accounts by serving as the primary day‑to‑day contact, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and coordinating inspections, service activities, and deficiency remediation across multiple sites. This is a full‑time, exempt position that is bonus‑eligible. The Account Manager is an individual contributor with no direct reports, requiring strong communication, operational coordination, and follow‑through to support renewals, maintain customer satisfaction, and identify opportunities for account growth. This role includes up to 50% travel to client locations and Fortis operating branches. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary daily contact for assigned national and multi‑location clients, building trust and long‑term partnerships., • Communicate regularly with clients regarding scheduling, service progress, inspection findings, and next steps., • Proactively address client needs, questions, and urgent issues to ensure high satisfaction, retention, and continued account engagement., • Coordinate inspections, deficiency walkthroughs, and corrective work with internal field operations teams and client site contacts across multiple locations., • Support multi‑service coordination, including alarm, sprinkler, suppression, monitoring, repairs, and project needs as applicable., • Review inspection results and deficiency reports, ensuring follow‑up for timely remediation planning, scheduling, and closure., • Partner with technicians, dispatch teams, service managers, and operations leadership to ensure all work meets client expectations and code requirements., • Identify opportunities to expand Fortis services within existing accounts and new client locations., • Support cross‑sell and upsell initiatives aligned with customer needs and Fortis capabilities., • Track and report account performance, risks, engagement trends, and growth opportunities using CRM tools., • Support renewal strategies by preparing proposals, gathering requirements, and presenting value‑based recommendations., • Coordinate the execution of renewals, amendments, and service agreements in collaboration with internal sales support, finance, and operations teams., • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered., • 4+ years of experience in account management, client relationship management, or sales within the fire protection, building systems, facility services, or related B2B service industries., • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Q360, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite., • Experience coordinating multi‑site service programs or logistics., • Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment working across multiple branches and service lines., • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts and deliver exceptional service to multi‑site customers., • Proven success supporting account growth, retention, and client satisfaction through value‑driven service delivery., • Strong operational coordination, problem‑solving, and follow‑through skills., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical and service‑related information clearly., • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and locations simultaneously., • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across operations, service, and sales teams., • Ability to travel up to 50% to client locations and Fortis operating branches., • Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including a valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record., • Familiarity with deficiency management processes and compliance requirements preferred. This pay range reflects the compensation rate Fortis Fire & Safety reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and skillset. This role is also eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, pet insurance, short term/long term disability, etc... Compensation Rate$90,000—$100,000 USD This role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement around the office or job site, and operation of standard equipment. Physical activities can include reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Field positions may involve heavy lifting, working in varying climates (including outdoor conditions), construction or low-voltage environments, and exposure to dust, noise, or confined spaces.
