Job Description Type: • San Antonio, Texas – Onsite We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Support Assistant to support a large, complex organization in a structured and deadline-driven environment. This role provides advanced administrative and legal support to attorneys and legal staff, ensuring the accurate preparation, organization, and management of legal documents, case files, contracts, and regulatory materials. The Legal Support Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations, supporting litigation and transactional matters, coordinating internal and external communications, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive legal information. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of legal procedures, exceptional organizational skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to manage multiple high-level priorities independently. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements: • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience providing legal administrative or paralegal-level support in a corporate, governmental, or public-sector environment, • Extensive experience preparing, reviewing, and managing legal documents, contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and regulatory filings, • Strong working knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, records management, and document control practices, • Experience supporting attorneys in litigation, labor and employment matters, procurement, contracts, compliance, or governmental operations, • Demonstrated experience working in a large, complex, or highly regulated environment, • Experience coordinating case files, tracking deadlines, managing calendars, and supporting hearings, depositions, or board meetings, • Ability to analyze documents, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy and completeness of legal records, • Experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive legal, personnel, and organizational information, • Proven ability to respond to legal records requests, public information requests, and audit-related inquiries, • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment, • Experience supporting a public-sector, governmental, or transit-related organization, • Familiarity with Texas state regulations, public information laws, and governmental compliance requirements, • Experience with contract administration and procurement documentation, • Experience coordinating with outside counsel and internal departments, • Experience supporting executive leadership, board governance processes, or regulatory reporting, • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, • Ability to review detailed legal documentation for sustained periods, • Ability to lift 10–20 pounds (files, records boxes, or office materials), • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field, • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Public Administration, or a related field, • Paralegal certification (e.g., NALA, NFPA, or equivalent), • Continuing education in legal compliance, public-sector law, or records management Drug screening, background, and reference checks are performed if required.
