Role Summary: Harold Beck & Sons, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to be responsible for the strategic direction, roadmap, and lifecycle management of a portfolio of industrial electric actuators and their associated accessories. This role bridges the technical and commercial worlds, working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and customers to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet market needs and drive business growth. This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Application Engineering. Primary Responsibilities: Product Strategy & Roadmap: • Define and execute product strategies aligned with business goals and market trends., • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify attractive market opportunities., • Engage with customers, OEMs, and channel partners to gather voice-of-customer (VOC) insights and identify unmet needs, • Understand and map the customer journey and build processes that provide a robust UX focus, • Build product features and capabilities into product specifications to support a frictionless customer experience in utilizing Beck solutions, • Lead cross-functional teams through the product development process, from concept through launch and post-launch support., • Ensure NPD projects are completed on-schedule and at product target cost., • Manage product life cycle from introduction to end-of-life, including product enhancements, VAVE opportunities, quality improvement, and performance optimization., • Develop business cases for new products and enhancements, including ROI and payback analysis., • Collaborate with sales to develop go-to-market strategies, sales tools, and training materials., • Support key customer engagements, technical sales efforts, and trade shows., • Serve as an internal expert on actuator technologies, applications, and industry-specific requirements (e.g., NEMA ratings, IP ratings, torque specs, control interfaces)., • Support engineering in defining product specifications and ensuring compliance with industry standards., • Ensure products meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Requirements: Professional and Personal Requirements: • Resilience and adaptability remaining composed under pressure and adjusting strategies and tactics in response to market shifts., • 8+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or technical marketing in an industrial or manufacturing environment., • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, industrial process control, or related technologies., • Rudimentary knowledge of control theory and trends in industrial process control, • Proven ability to lead complex projects and cross-functional teams., • Data driven and process oriented., • Analytical and financial skills., • Customer-centric mindset., • Technical acumen in electro-mechanical system., • History of results-driven execution, • Experience with Project Management, PLM tools, ERP systems, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus., • Experience working with customers in water/wastewater, power generation, steel, pulp/paper, or mining industries is highly desirable., • Excellent communication, listening, and structured problem-solving skills., • Ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external customers., • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics Engineering, • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs., • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods., • Regular exposure to industrial plant environments requiring personal protective equipment, • Office environment with regular exposure to manufacturing areas., • Predictable and reliable attendance required.
