An Operations Manager opportunity is now available with a multi-site manufacturing business known for its high-quality engineered products and strong operational standards. The company has invested heavily in people, processes, and modern manufacturing practices, and they are now seeking an Operations Manager to drive performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people. This is a newly created role that will play a pivotal part in shaping manufacturing strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement within a very busy and in-demand business. The position is based in Birmingham and offers a salary circa £65,000, a performance-based bonus scheme, long-term development potential, and additional benefits to be discussed. Operations Manager responsibilities include - Leading manufacturing operations to deliver outstanding safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance. Driving operational strategy and embedding a high-performance culture across all production teams. Developing Production Managers and frontline leaders to improve capability, accountability, and output. Delivering measurable improvements through Lean tools, Kaizen events, Gemba activity, and OEE. Overseeing production planning, resource deployment and capacity utilisation to meet customer demand. Leading structured problem-solving, RCCA, and cross-functional escalation to eliminate repeat issues. Managing operational reporting, performance reviews and continuous improvement roadmaps. Operations Manager desirable skills and experience - Good financial awareness with experience managing budgets, labour and material costs. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IOSH/NEBOSH and ideally IATF 16949. Confident user of ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with strong analytical and reporting capability. Relevant degree, HND, BTEC Level 5 or equivalent professional qualification. Operations Manager benefits include - A salary circa of £65,000 and performance-related bonus scheme.
