We are looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join our Learning & Development function, with responsibility for supporting the effective delivery, coordination and continuous improvement of learning and professional development across the firm. The Learning & Development function plays a critical role in building capability at all levels of the organisation. Working closely with colleagues across the wider business, the L&D Manager will ensure learning activity is well‑planned, efficiently delivered and aligned to the firm’s strategic and regulatory requirements. This is a fast‑paced environment where confidentiality, strong organisational skills, curiosity and a proactive mindset are essential. The role requires a collaborative approach and the ability to work confidently with partners, managers and external providers to support the professional development journey of staff throughout their time at the firm. Credibility in the role is built through being proactive, responsive, creative and accurate. While these fundamentals may appear simple, they form the foundation of success in the L&D Manager role and are key to delivering a high‑quality learning experience across the business. The role The Learning & Development Manager will play a key role within the Learning & Development function, supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of learning and development activity across the firm. The role requires strong organisational capability, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced professional services environment. The L&D Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, Partners and external providers to ensure learning activity is delivered efficiently, professionally and in line with the firm’s development priorities. Learning & Development responsibilities • Manage and oversee course enrolment, attendance tracking and completion records to ensure accurate and timely reporting., • Act as the primary point of contact for external training providers, coordinating course logistics, contracts and invoicing., • Maintain and develop content within learning systems and digital platforms, supporting clear and effective firm‑wide L&D communications., • Plan, schedule and coordinate the delivery of internal and external learning interventions, including managing relationships with venues and suppliers., • Partner with the relevant internal stakeholders, including the wider People and L&D teams to design, implement and continuously improve learning initiatives, programmes and development pathways., • Support the planning and delivery of firm‑wide induction and onboarding programmes., • Ensure all learning documentation, guidance materials and records are accurate, current and compliant., • Support the delivery of skills and professional development training (in‑person and virtual) to employees and Partners across all levels of the firm., • Work collaboratively with the wider People team to ensure a consistent, high‑quality service and joined‑up approach to people development., • Own and manage the Learning & Development calendar, ensuring effective forward planning and alignment with business priorities., • Deliver a high standard of internal client service by building strong relationships, understanding stakeholder needs and shaping L&D support accordingly., • Communicate confidently and effectively with stakeholders, using strong planning and coordination skills to ensure successful outcomes. Data & Reporting • Ensure all Learning & Development documentation, guidance and resources hosted on the intranet and Learning Management System (LMS) are accurate, current and appropriately maintained., • Own the integrity of learning data within the LMS, including course set‑up, attendance, completion records and learning history., • Coordinate and support the collation of quarterly People and L&D data, drawing on LMS reporting and other relevant sources to ensure accuracy and consistency., • Prepare development‑related documentation, reports and communications for internal stakeholders., • Monitor, analyse and report on examination outcomes and other agreed learning metrics, using LMS data where appropriate., • Maintain clear, auditable records to support professional body, regulatory and internal reporting requirements., • Use learning data, LMS insights and feedback to support continuous improvement of learning programmes and delivery. Idea Generation, Learning Technology & Continuous Improvement • Actively contribute ideas to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of the firm’s Learning & Development offering, with a focus on continuous improvement., • Identify opportunities to make better use of learning technologies, including the Learning Management System (LMS), digital learning platforms and content authoring tools, to improve learner experience and operational efficiency., • Explore and evaluate the use of AI and emerging technologies within L&D, such as learning analytics, content curation, adaptive learning and administrative automation, ensuring any adoption is appropriate, compliant and value‑adding., • Research external best practice, market trends and developments in learning design, delivery and technology, and share practical recommendations, • Use insight from LMS data, learner feedback and business needs to propose enhancements to learning content, delivery methods and learning pathways., • Support innovation in learning design, including blended, digital and scalable solutions that balance quality, cost‑effectiveness and regulatory requirements., • Work collaboratively with the wider People and L&D teams to test, refine and embed new tools, processes and approaches where appropriate You will have • Experience working within a Learning & Development, People or similar operational role, with responsibility for coordinating, supporting or managing learning activity. Applications from candidates with broader or more senior experience are welcomed, with the understanding that this role combines hands‑on delivery with managerial responsibility., • Experience working within a professional services or similarly fast‑paced, client‑focused environment would be advantageous., • A sound understanding of People and Learning processes within a corporate environment, with practical exposure to L&D activity, systems and stakeholders. While prior L&D expertise is valuable, a strong passion for learning, curiosity and a commitment to continuous development are essential., • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, balancing operational delivery with stakeholder needs and deadlines., • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, including Partners and external providers., • A proactive, solution‑focused mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute positively to a high‑performing L&D function. What you’ll need to succeed • Strong organisational and operational skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate learning activity effectively across multiple priorities., • Experience working within a Learning & Development environment, with exposure to learning operations, digital learning or programme delivery., • Practical experience using learning authoring tools, ideally Articulate Storyline and Rise 360, to create, update or maintain engaging digital learning content., • Confidence working with a Learning Management System (LMS), including course set‑up, learner administration, reporting and ongoing content management., • A strong interest in learning technology and innovation, with a passion for generative and agentic AI and an enthusiasm for exploring how emerging tools can enhance learning design, delivery and efficiency., • High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate learning content, data and documentation., • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, balance competing demands and work effectively with stakeholders., • A collaborative, team‑focused approach, with a willingness to support others and contribute positively to the wider L&D function., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain learning concepts clearly and build effective working relationships.
