Benefits: Our commitment to employee well-being is reflected in our competitive benefits package located here: Summary: The Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management (AVP) is a senior leader responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and continuous optimization of undergraduate and graduate enrollment efforts. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs, the AVP leads a comprehensive enrollment enterprise that includes undergraduate and graduate admissions, recruitment marketing, enrollment communications, events and a robust portfolio of pre-college and pipeline programs. This role oversees the full enrollment lifecycle, including undergraduate and graduate admissions, recruitment marketing, enrollment communications, events, and a robust portfolio of pre-college and pipeline programs. The AVP will align enrollment initiatives with institutional priorities, market dynamics, and student demand, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing enrollment operation. A key priority for this role is the development and expansion of pre-college initiatives as a primary driver of long-term enrollment growth, student access, and institutional visibility. The AVP is accountable for building a sustainable pipeline of future students through innovative K–12 partnerships, summer programs, and pathway experiences that align with the university’s academic strengths. The AVP is accountable for achieving institutional enrollment goals by designing and implementing innovative, data-driven recruitment and yield strategies that strengthen the university’s market position, academic profile, and student diversity. This role ensures a seamless and high-quality prospective student experience from inquiry through matriculation. Working in close collaboration with the Associate Vice President for Student Financial Services and senior leadership in International Affairs, the AVP aligns recruitment, pricing, and global engagement strategies to drive enrollment outcomes across domestic and international markets. Qualifications Required Skills and Competencies • Master’s degree in higher education, business administration, public administration, or a related field., • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in enrollment management, admissions, or related areas., • Demonstrated success in developing and executing complex enrollment strategies with measurable outcomes., • Experience managing multiple functional areas (e.g., admissions, marketing, recruitment operations)., • Demonstrated success in building and scaling enrollment pipelines, including pre-college or outreach programs., • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data, CRM systems, and enrollment technologies to drive results., • Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex enrollment operations., • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic environment., • Excellent communication leadership, and stakeholder management skills., • Experience in private, STEM-focused, or research-intensive university., • Experience developing or managing pre-college, dual enrollment, or pathway programs., • Familiarity with Slate CRM, Ellucian Banner, or similar systems., • Experience with graduate and international enrollment strategies., • Knowledge of financial aid leveraging and tuition revenue optimization. Strategic Enrollment Leadership • Serve as a key architect of the university’s comprehensive enrollment strategy, integrating pre-college pipeline development with undergraduate and graduate enrollment goals with institutional priorities and long-term financial sustainability., • Develop multi-year enrollment plans, including market segmentation, program positioning, and growth strategies across domestic and international populations., • Leverage predictive analytics, CRM data, and market intelligence to guide decision-making and optimize funnel performance (inquiry – application – admit – enroll), including pre-college participation, conversion rates, and long-term enrollment yield., • Provide executive leadership for a comprehensive portfolio of pre-college programs, including summer academies, dual enrollment, dual credit, certificate programs, and K–12 partnerships., • Position pre-college as both a strategic enrollment pipeline and a potential revenue-generating enterprise, aligned with institutional growth goals., • Design and scale innovative programming that introduces prospective students to high-demand academic areas, particularly in STEM and emerging disciplines., • Build and sustain partnerships with high schools, school districts, community organizations, and corporate partners to expand access and strengthen brand presence., • Develop clear pathways from pre-college participation to undergraduate enrollment, including early identification, engagement, and conversion strategies., • Implement robust assessment models to track conversion, student success, and ROI of pre-college initiatives., • Provide executive oversight for Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, ensuring consistent, equitable, and efficient application review and decision processes., • Lead the development and implementation of recruitment strategies across first-year, transfer, graduate, and online populations., • Ensure alignment between admissions criteria and institutional goals for academic quality, access, and diversity., • Oversee integrated recruitment marketing strategies including digital marketing, content development, brand positioning, and enrollment communications., • Oversee integrated marketing strategies that connect pre-college outreach with broader recruitment campaigns., • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to develop data-driven campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, and conversion., • Ensure effective use of CRM platforms (e.g., Slate) to deliver personalized, timely, and segmented communications across the recruitment funnel., • Lead the strategy and execution of on-campus and virtual recruitment events, including open houses, admitted student programs, and counselor engagement initiatives., • Lead a comprehensive events strategy that includes pre-college programming, summer experiences, and yield-focused engagement initiatives., • Design high-impact yield strategies that enhance student engagement and drive enrollment decisions., • Partner closely with the AVP for Student Financial Services to align recruitment strategies with financial aid leveraging, scholarship policies, and net revenue goals., • Collaborate with International Affairs leadership to strengthen international recruitment pipelines, partnership, and student support services., • Ensure coordinated strategies across domestic and international markets to optimize enrollment mix and global diversity., • Provide leadership and development for a high-performing, diverse team across admissions, marketing, events and pre-college programming., • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement., • Ensure efficient operational processes, including application processing, communications workflows, and event execution., • Serve as a key liaison to academic colleges, Student Affairs, Registrar, and other campus partners to support enrollment and retention initiatives., • Represent Enrollment Management on institutional committees and strategic initiatives. Oversee a budget of up to $5 to 8 million in Operations. Supervision This role will be supervisory in nature, overseeing at least 5 to 7 direct reports and 30 to 50+ in-direct reports and teams.
