Job Summary: Under the direction of the Associate Director of Community Services, orients, trains, supervises, and evaluates resource development staff and secretary, including the Rate Implementation/Health & Safety Specialist. Coordinates resource development activities with other program staff; ensures resource development activities are effectively implemented in a manner consistent with client needs, laws, regulations, and San Andreas Regional Center policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions: Agency Mission and Goals • Implement the Agency’s strategic short- and long-term goals, and statement of mission., • Communicates the Agency mission and goals to staff, vendors and community partners., • Develops and maintain resources for services., • Maintains knowledge of State and Federal directives, statutes, regulations and changes to legislation. Interprets these to staff and develops and/or modifies policies and practices to be complaint with regulatory and Agency requirements., • Acts as the Agency’s liaison to service providers, including the Service Provider Advisory Committee and proactively educates community partners, including vendors, courts and advocacy groups used throughout the Agency., • Builds positive and collaborative relationships with public and private agencies to those supported., • Actively participates in the recruitment process to ensure the most qualified candidates are attracted and retained., • Sets clear expectations for performance and provides training, coaching, feedback and support to staff within the unit throughout the year., • Ensures that new staff receives the proper training during their introductory period and throughout their employment within the unit., • Identifies any unmet training needs to Human Resources., • Anticipates, addresses and resolves issues and concerns of staff., • Ensures the proper staff levels are maintained throughout the unit. (**Benefits apply to eligible employees.)Requirements: Education/Experience: Masters with two years’ experience with a concentration in psychology, social work or related field. Five (5) years’ experience working with programs and services in a regional center context, including experience developing and assessing services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Special Skills and Knowledge: • knowledge of or experience with persons with developmental disabilities;, • knowledge regional center and developmental center service systems, • knowledge of Title 17, Quality Assurance Standards and licensing agencies standards and systems;, • the ability to present training to groups or individuals;, • knowledge of analytical techniques and report preparation;, • knowledge of budgeting processes;, • demonstrated ability to write effectively;, • ability to utilize computer skills, especially Excel and Word, for the collection, input, and analysis of data, and producing reports;, • excellent ability to communicate with various segments of the community., • ability to work effectively with diverse teams Other: Use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law or the ability to provide for independent transportation.
