About this role: We are seeking a highly skilled financial/technical writer to join the firm’s Marketing team to develop valuation and other market-related content that supports VRC’s educational and thought leadership strategy. This role is ideal for a strong writer with experience in financial services who can translate complex and technical valuation and financial/tax reporting concepts into accessible, insightful content tailored for sophisticated audiences, including private equity and private credit funds, private equity portfolio companies, large middle-market organizations, public companies, and other institutional clients and partners. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with internal subject matter experts and professionals across practice groups to produce content that highlights the firm’s expertise. As a key member of a dynamic and highly integrated Marketing team, this individual will stay abreast of the market landscape and trends, sharing learnings, best practices, and insights with key business stakeholders. This position is available as either fully remote within the United States or as a hybrid role for candidates located near one of VRC’s 11 office locations. Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the U.S without the need for sponsorship now or in the future. What you will do: • Research, develop, write, edit, or proof clear, compelling, and technically accurate content for a broad array of materials, including but not limited to educational articles/web content, white papers, market insights, industry reports, technical case studies, and other resources, • Synthesize content to produce succinct promotional and digital copy for use in social media applications, • Collaborate with and interview content stakeholders, valuation professionals, and internal subject matter experts to establish key objectives, strategies, and themes for content related to the firm’s full suite of valuation and advisory services, ensuring complex ideas are tailored to the needs of different audiences, • Work with other writers, content providers, designers, and outside resources to effectively execute initiatives that are timely and relevant for our target audiences, • Research and source necessary data, working with internal resources, as well as external research tools, • Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and style across all materials, • Stay current with trends in valuation, accounting standards, and related financial regulation, and the private and public markets to identify timely content opportunities What you will need: • 10-12 years of professional writing experience within a financial services or valuation-related organization; preferred experience in accounting firms, investment banks, or private equity-related organizations, • Proven ability to write about complex financial and technical subjects for executive-level audiences, • Bachelor's degree in communications or journalism or writing preferred, • Exceptional attention to detail, along with excellent writing, copy editing, and verbal communication skills, • Time management and prioritization skills, ability to work well under pressure, • Strong interpersonal skills, a team player capable of collaborating across a global organization, • Working knowledge of AP Style and content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar), • Understanding of SEO and emerging AEO best practices and digital content trends is a plus What we offer you: • Competitive bonus program, • Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, Life Insurance, Disability, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care Reimbursement, Commuter Benefits, 401k match program, and voluntary insurance options, • Generous time off, • Reimbursement for admission fees and study material for professional designations, • Growth - VRC is growing, and so can your career VRC is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse team.
