Job DescriptionDescription: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, direct patient care and support to providers and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties in a professional and efficient manner. Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of leading pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment. Medical Assistant Essential Functions: • Perform a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks, including obtaining and documenting patient medical histories, answering and directing phone calls, and ensuring completion of all necessary forms, • Maintain medical supply inventory and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation, • Prepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical assessments, taking vital signs, and summarizing patient history for providers, • Set up and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms for clinical examinations, • Communicate physician instructions to patients and answer basic questions regarding treatment and care, • Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families throughout their visit, • Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA, • Assist providers, clinical staff, and other team members as needed, • Solid understanding of medical procedures, administrative workflows, and organizational policies, • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, • Proficient in a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and records management, • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when needed, • Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems, • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas effectively, • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, • Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, • Committed to providing exceptional patient care and customer service, • Multiple medical and prescription coverage options, • Dental and vision care plans, • Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), where applicable, • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), • Voluntary critical illness, cancer, and accident insurance, • Voluntary hospital indemnity coverage, • Voluntary short-term and long-term disability insurance, • Voluntary term life insurance and AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment), • 401(k) retirement savings plan, • Paid time off (PTO), • Commuter benefits, • Vision, • Flexible Spending Accounts, • MetLife Auto/Vehicle & Home Insurance Discounts Requirements: Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required, • Certification as Medical Assistant is required.
