This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our QSHE department and grow into a critical role. You will start by supporting the licence to operate team in managing Offshore Safety Cases (SC) and Onshore COMAH Safety Reports (CSR) for Perenco SNS operations, while building your technical knowledge and experience through structured development and mentorship. Perenco SNS is the Duty Holder for two critical COMAH sites and thirty-six offshore assets. Within the License to Operate team, Safety Case Engineers play a critical role in ensuring these assets meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This junior position offers a clear pathway to progress into a highly influential role within the organisation, while providing the opportunity to gain exposure to all Perenco SNS assets and departments. This role will enable you to quickly build a broad understanding of the organisation. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday in our Norwich office. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation, review, and update of SC/CSR documentation under supervision., • Support coordination of material change submissions and stakeholder engagement., • Support and Co-ordinate the 5-yearly SC/CSR Thorough Review Programme, ensuring key stakeholders are engaged at the earliest opportunity., • Work closely with the Safety Case Engineer and Technical Safety department (or other nominated person) to ensure hazard management information (including bowties and QRA data) remains valid. In particular, keeping abreast of changes in ‘data-sources’ that are used in the QRA for calculating TRIF, PLL, IRPA etc., • Work with the various Performance Standard Owners and responsible engineers to ensure the content of the SC/CSR remains accurate at all times and these key documents are continuously improved to ensure accurate and relevant content., • Work with the PUK Operations, Projects and Decommissioning Teams to facilitate updates to existing SC/CSR to address the requirements of planned work., • Attend the weekly MOC meeting. Ensure all MOCs that require a non-material SC/CSR update are captured on the change tracker and those that require material change assessment are added to the submission plan., • Ensure a robust workforce engagement process for all SC/CSR updates, allowing sufficient time to receive and review feedback., • Ensure independent verification bodies are consulted on SC/CSR updates, allowing sufficient time to review and receive feedback., • Provide support to others within the QSHE Team to ensure our commitments relating to SCR 2015 regs, COMAH regulations, internal QSHE plans and improvement programs are achieved., • Support with engagement with regulatory bodies on matters relating to SC/CSR including general updates, material changes and thorough reviews. Keep abreast of changes in offshore legislation to ensure the business adjusts as required., • Support the maintenance of a register of all commitments made within the SC/CSR. Ensure these actions are registered, communicated and tracked on a regular basis ensuring delivery against any set deadlines., • Ensure key supporting documents (i.e. Emergency Response Plans, Lifesaving equipment layout plans, MAPDs) are kept up to date., • Identify additional ad-hoc resource requirements to manage ‘peaks’ in workload to ensure all relevant statutory deadlines can be achieved., • Maintain the SEMS document for Safety Case Management. Key Requirements Include: Qualifications • Degree or higher technical qualification, preferably in technical safety engineering (other technical disciplines considered)., • Chartered Engineer status not required for this role, but will be supported. Experience • Exposure to Oil and Gas or Nuclear operations, safety management, or regulatory compliance is desirable but not essential., • Awareness of UK offshore safety regulations (Safety Case, COMAH, PFEER, DSEAR, PSR) is an advantage., • Interest in learning about QRA and ERP, OPEP, Safety Case development., • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-discipline teams., • Strong organisational skills and willingness to learn planning and document control processes.
